Trump played it Constitutionally which pleased and surprised me. He protected federal properties as he was Constitutionally obliged to do. It’s the state’s job to asked for help if they need it. They never asked for help because politically they wanted the rioting to happen. There should have been huge political backlash inside those states for what those state governments allowed to happen. There wasn’t apparently the anarchy and general lawlessness was fine with those state residents.

MN resident here. It wasn't fine by me, but what our jackass governor did was: he first oversaw the destruction of Mpls. and then asked for federal disaster relief. It was denied, and I applauded Trump for saying that it wasn't a natural disaster. Walz did nothing. He would've sent troops, but Walz didn't ask. Only after it was all over did he ask for natural disaster relief. Trump got it exactly right.
