When I was younger, I used to pooh pooh all the liberal talk about "corporations" and "fascism." I thought they were obsessed with the threat and were overexaggerating what they perceived as a threat. I felt that neither corporations nor the government were inherently corrupt or just putting profit ahead of the interests of people.

And now I think they may have been on to something. I keep seeing evidence of corporate/government collusion, and lately it has been about government involvement in twitter, facebook, google, and so forth.

And then you've got the examples of companies like Solyndra, and other "green" energy boondoggles.

Joe Biden has 20 million? Where did he get it? Why would anyone pay anything for that useless son of his, let alone millions? And buying his paintings for 100rs of thousands of dollars?

Money laundering is the only thing that makes sense.

So Butler and Eisenhower were more or less singing from the same hymnal, and now i'm beginning to see what they were talking about.

I see other people mentioning the DC corruption cartel. I guess old Smedley was onto something.
