Turkey’s central bank on Thursday hiked its key interest rate from 30% to 35%, in an ongoing bid to rein in inflation.

Anyone here ever been to Turkey?
I knew a ln older guy at work who was there a while while he was in the US Air Force.
Said it was nice then, great coffee and smokes and the food was delightful.
I have not, but know one here that grew up there. And several that served at Incirlik.

I know someone who has been there. Said the bazaar was cool but you don’t want to wander away from your tourist group or you may not make it back.
Yep, can't manage his own country but wants to be a leader in world affairs...no thanks.
Billy Hayes.

They have a history in modern times of periods of hyperinflation and currency devaluation. They are going through a bad one now, and have one of the worst inflation rates, in the world, so people are probably hungry for dollars or euros.
Agree. He is arrogant and he has some really bad followers. It is the Islamist way. He wears that label with no remorse.
He shelters all Muslim Terrorists. Including ISIS remnants in Efrin, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Sultan Murad Militia, Tirk Welatiyeki, Ahmed Othman.
