“Daniel Cameron is a young star who has done a great job as your attorney general, always being fair, but very, very tough,” Trump said in the ad, touting Cameron as someone who is “strong, reliable and loves your state and our nation.”
Watch video here:
“Daniel is a tremendous fighter on crime, lowering taxes, saving our Second Amendment, stopping inflation and of course helping our great military and our vets. We love our vets,” Trump continued, noting that Cameron is pro-law enforcement, pointing to his endorsement from the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police.
Trump, who originally endorsed Cameron in June 2022, also praised Cameron’s position on protecting women’s sports from biological males, as well as his devotion to teachers and “getting our children caught up from the massive learning loss” caused by what he described as Beshear’s educational policies “which have been a disaster for Kentucky.”
“He [Cameron] will eliminate Kentucky’s income tax and will support the working men and women of Kentucky just like I did for four great years,” Trump continued, contrasting Cameron with the reality under Beshear — someone who endorsed “Crooked Joe Biden, which in itself is about as bad as it gets,” Trump said.
Beshear’s economic policies, Trump continued, are “crushing” the state of Kentucky, as are his weak positions on crime.”
“They want to get rid of the Second Amendment. The Democrats are fighting hard to do that. And Beshear wants to help them. He also wants to raise your taxes and viciously shut down churches, small businesses

Why is Beshear so popular in KY?
KY, TN, GA, no longer reliably Red states.
Even the Trump star power isn’t to get Cameron over the line. More’s the pity. I think he would be a great governor, something we desperately need.
But DJT can’t save Daniel from a weakly run campaign and a very effective and overwhelmingly nasty campaign by Beshear. Along with Beshear’s lock on the teacher’s unions and government employees. I know people that are not really libs but are firmly convinced that their government pensions are going to stolen by Cameron within days of taking office. I don’t even need to discuss the commie teacher’s unions.
He has the unions in his pocket.
Family name. He also looks like the baby faced boy that all parents want to see date their daughter. In reality he is corrupt, VERY leftist, and knows how to fight dirty very well.
Louisville and Lexington are essentially 100% Rat and have tremendous political weight as our only major urban enclaves.
The Dems are eating us alive by keeping these Blue cities alive with massive tax spending. The GOP needs to dry up these gifts to cities.
Because all his vetoes get overridden
Kentucky is not ready to vote for a black man, regardless of his qualifications. Simple as that.
I suspect you’re right. GOP still has supermajorities in the Legislature, doesn’t it? Downside here is the appointment brouhaha that’s going to kick up if McConnell kicks off. I think the Legislature has the winning argument that the duly enacted legislation requiring a senate appointee be of the same party. However the rat-controlled Senate would vote to seat the person named by beshear while litigation went forward
The latest decent quality poll is about 10 days old and says Beshear +2. That number is lower than it was.
The voters are reliably red, but those states are controlled by RINO squishes.
I’ve only lived in KY for about 3 years now, but am starting to get more of a feel for its politics I think.
Cameron’s campaign has been under-funded, Beshear’s has been supported from outside the state. Beshear is even advertising on Fox, at about a 3-1 ratio to Cameron; it’s probably even more unbalanced in other outlets. Beshear’s advertising has greatly distorted Cameron’s proposed policies (what else is new in politics) and Cameron (to me) seems to be advertising that Trump and Rand Paul support him and that should be enough.
My take is that Beshear is perceived as a Bill Clinton type; somewhat moderate, a good guy. Not really true, but the conservative legislature negates much of his liberal nature. Cameron seems to be a bit ahead of his time; i.e. it wasn’t his turn and he should have stayed AG at which he was pretty effective. He’s also seen as a McConnel protégé which doesn’t help. I don’t think his race has much to do with it.
*Kentucky is not ready to vote for a black man, regardless of his qualifications. Simple as that.*
We’ve seen it before.
My gut says that’s not the case. But I’m not a KY native, been here 18 years so.....
But things in most of the state have changed a lot. I see more mixed race families here than I did in Florida. I live in a small town. No one bats an eye.
Win that Race! You can do it Kentucky voters.
Vote Republican!
I live in TN.
It is a VERY reliable Red State.
What State do u live in?
NY
Yea, I guess I’m distracted by the leadership in Memphis and Nashville. Nashville seems like it’s trending towards full wokeness. But as far as statewide, I stand corrected.
Carries himself well on camera and masterful at the art of propaganda - and has many, many times the funds Cameron has to control the narrative of this entire election.
Assistance to help poor and middle income families afford to send their kids to a better school = “taking funds away from public schools and giving it to rich, fancy private schools.”
Opposing abortion and transgender surgeries for little kids = “interfering with private health care decisions.”
Opposing CRT in schools = “prohibiting our schools from teaching the truth about our history.”
