The Palestinian crisis is like waving a stick with a bunch of feathers on the end in front of a kitten. The kitten being the population of whatever dictatorship needs the population distracted.
There can’t be any peace or resolution because there is little in the way of alternative employment in the entire region. The corruption of the regimes and the inherent poverty of living in the desert rule out the sort of cultural dynamism found in Europe or the Americas.
