New York City being #6 tells you all you need to know about this list.

Yes. Go there. Everybody, please. Stay out of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, etc. Those places really suck. Go to Pennsylvania. It’s awesome there.

Lists and rankings such as this, all depend on the criteria used to evaluate these places.
Housing in cheaper in those PA cities than much of the country. But is that the key criterion which any of us go by, in deciding where to live or retire?
To: DallasBiff
This list is obviously influenced disproportionately by two factors: (1) extensive health care facilities, and (2) no PA state tax on retirement income.

I did not look to see what criteria they used, but I’m sure those criteria you noted are important to them.
All of us have to decide what criteria are important to us, in deciding where to live or where to retire.

nope. they gave us Fetterman and “Rachel” Levine.
although I am fond of Bedford County after I read they shut down a blm march with long guns.

Youngstown’s not bad- it is certainly affordable to buy a house.

That, among many other things, is why I left PA for the GREAT STATE of TEXAS! 😁

First thing I looked at was the source - I figured this had to be from Babylon Bee or Semi-satire/Semi-news.
Maybe the PA Gov. is paying USN&WR in a poor attempt to stem the flow of those fleeing the state.

PA may not tax Social Security and pensions (if the Internet is right). Health care may also be good, but I wonder how much there is to do after dark in Harrisburg.
