I CCW a full size, 1911 Kimber .45 ACP “Eclipse Target II” w/ 8rnd Wilson Combat stainless “Officer” mags, w/ built-in Crimson Trace Laser Rosewood Grips, in a Galco paddle “FED212” leather rig, and an extra 2 mag Galco paddle carrier. I also carry 2 boxes of 20ea 230gr Sellier & Belloit HPs and FMJs, in my Jeep, w/ 2 extra empty mags. If I need more than the first 3 mags, it just ain’t my day.

This year I decided that giving the bad guys a leg up is no longer an option.

My Kimbers went into the safe, and my EDC is now the Rock Island TAC ULTRA FS HC - I have one in .45 (14+1) and one in 9mm (18+1).

These match the Kimbers in price point, but outmatch them in utility. Great inexpensive mags available from Greg Cote

I have found the only challenge is finding a good IWB holster to fit (nodding to Pox - open carry has more options).

I wish I could carry my Kimber .45 ACP Gold Match II with the green laser Crimson Trace Rosewood grips. Just a bit too large to conceal.

It loves to eat Federal Premium 230 Grain HST.
