The parents of a young Louisiana child have been slammed for hosting a gangster-themed party where they were filmed playing with realistic looking guns and dancing to explicit rap music.

The 'NBA YoungBoy themed' children's birthday party in Louisiana went viral online after video was released of five young boys dancing while also flashing fake cash.

Apparently offensive to many however, I must admit to playing "guns" as a kid using similar realistic toys. Nevertheless, my friends and I have never attacked anyone nor went into a life of crime.

Comparable to complaints about violent video games, my belief is that it's the society that drives the entertainment, not the other way around. What turns someone into a criminal is something else, not the games they play.

When I was a kid, we played with toy guns. But the play was about saving civilization from savage Indians, or the Nazis or something like that. We used our toys to defend our homes and our families. We were Good Guys fighting Bad Guys.

I’m not sure the kids in the photo think in a similar fashion. I think they be scoring benjamins and hos.

“Good Guys fighting Bad Guys.”

Yes ... the days of pine cone grenades and the fully auto oak limb

We raised the flag on Iwo jima all summer long.

This isn’t a problem with toys. This is a problem with culture. Black culture in America is tolerant of misogyny, racism, and violence. I feel absolutely no misgivings saying this, as it plays out on the streets of many American cities daily. Just because the American media refuses to cover the incidents doesn’t mean they aren’t happening.

Might as well just say it: It’s what most blacks in America aspire to; to be criminal thugs, or NBA players, or more commonly…both. That video is the perfect picture of the real cause of black poverty and failure. It’s the culture they embrace. Might as well say the other part then, too: If they want to be successful in life they will have to adopt all of the behaviors that they falsely label “acting white” (otherwise known as being a civilized responsible adult).

“Blackness” (not skin tone nor ethnicity, but glorified thuggish behavior) leads to nothing but degradation, poverty, and death.

Heh, I remember throwing a pine cone grenade into the wind, and having it blow back into my foxhole, in the leaf pile. BOOM!

Agree with what you said but playing with a guns at an NBA themed party for kid’s is like having an all girls bible study and they all show up dressed as prostitutes.

I don’t watch the NBA anymore... use to love the Celtics / LA rivalry with Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. Now it’s overpaid whiney azz POS scum... like a lot of sports.

Don’t “admit to it”. Nothing to be ashamed of. Search for “cap guns” on Amazon.

I’ve been a cap gun collector for decades. We always emulated the good guys. These ferals teach their children violence from a very early age so robbery and murder become natural.

What I noticed first was the adult males standing around those kids, watching and smiling.

The way that kid is waving around fake money and waving the gun is like he is committing robbery...And the parents (or adults) are loving it...

Wonder how they will love that kid lying in the street shot to death at 17 years old?????

Wonder if the parents furthered the thug life experience by setting up a small jail cell where the kids will rot for years. Or maybe a hospital scene where the pretend doctor pulls the sheet over the drug overdosed kid? How about pretending to be an adult male with no marketable skills, 3 bastard kids, nothing but left over McDonald’s in the fridge, and rent due Friday feels?

Cite the bell curve or whatever, but I don’t follow how a culture that leads to ruin and suffering is promoted and aspired to. This has to be fixed from within.

17 would be far too long-—try 14 or so—IF even that.

Indeed. Another fine example of “black culture” and its positive influence upon Western Culture.

I’m stuck in quandary trying to decide which is worse: Black Culture or Islam because both promote racism, murder, rape, theft and female servitude/slavery/prostitution.
