In a way, Biden's senility does make a kind of sense - people who work for a living and pay taxes are disconnected from the reality that Biden voters live in. Biden voters are typically people who get more from the government than they put in - they are largely insulated from inflation, falling real estate values and high taxes. What do they care about those things?

…because 8% home mortgage interest rates are sooo much better than 2.5% and $3.00 per gallon gas is sooo much better than $1.70 (for starters).
And we are the ones who are disconnected???

They are just a tad under 7 in my neck of the woods. I remember the joy we had when we refinanced at 7% back in the day. We had to get a 15 year mortgage to do it and it stretched resources, but we were thrilled we could go from 12 to 7. Oh and we had great credit scores.

I’m not disconnected from reality, more like I’m disconnected from a paycheck. 3 yrs from retirement in the energy sector, my husband was laid off in March and can’t find another job b/c no one is hiring.

Here, I see help wanted signs all over at restaurants and Fast Food places. Service is slow because no staff, and one place we went, Chili’s, had to close because no cooks!
Where are all these ‘illegal aliens’ that are coming in by the train load, literally, working?....................
