White House: We Want Pauses ‘Irrespective of a Hostage Deal’ But Israel Wouldn’t Do That
Breitbart ^ | 11/22/2033 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 11/22/2023 6:10:44 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Brett McGurk said that the White House supports “humanitarian pauses irrespective of a hostage deal” but President Joe Biden realized the only way to get a humanitarian pause was to have an agreement to bring hostages home.

White House wants? No, it’s Obama who wants the pauses to give his hamas buds time to re-group.

Agree, but a bad sign, about the condition of the “hostages”.

Hamas has been severely reduced in number and leaders, If they , as usual, play games with the hostages; it is an indicator that not many are alive now.

If so, Israel will oscillate to finish Hamas.

From a big picture perspective, the most “humanitarian” think Israel could do for the world is wipe out Hamas. There will be some dead today, but it will be a tiny fraction of what those islamic lunatics would kill over the coming decades if left to continue their ways.

I wouldn’t want this administration involved in a condo owners association meeting let alone trying to steer the actions of a sovereign free nation that was attacked by terrorists.

I guess the Israelis didn’t take KJP or Kirby’s suggestions seriously.

In every Israeli war the US has hoped to help the enemies by letting them regroup in a ceasefire or a peace talk at a conference table somewhere.

Independence 1948, Palestinian Fedayeen insurgency (50s-60s),Six Day War (1967), War of Attrition (567-70),Yom Kippur War (1973) PLO Lebanon War (1982) , 1st and 2nd Intifada (1987-2005), Gaza War (2014) and others.

Complicated summaries of Israelis killed in war——
One category counting the 9 major named wars:
“ Between 1948 and 1997, 20,093 Israeli soldiers were killed in combat, 75,000 Israelis were wounded, and nearly 100,000 Israelis were considered disabled army veterans.”

“the hostages”

I suspect many are not being held directly by Hamas.

The ‘deal’ I believe only applies to about a fifth of those held.

Most countries seem to want to keep the status quo, which has shown to be a pointless stance as one side continues to express their reason to exist is to annihilate Israel.

Why does most of the world crave having the situation remain as is?

War is not a video game.

The losing side doesn’t get to hit a pause button.

A jihad against God’s chosen people is inherently a bad idea.

Live (maybe) & learn (not likely given a long history).

“Hamas Covenant 1988”

“The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that.”

“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.”

“It is necessary to instill the spirit of Jihad in the heart of the nation so that they would confront the enemies and join the ranks of the fighters.”

“Woman in the home of the fighting family, whether she is a mother or a sister, plays the most important role in looking after the family, rearing the children and embuing them with moral values and thoughts derived from Islam. She has to teach them to perform the religious duties in preparation for the role of fighting awaiting them. That is why it is necessary to pay great attention to schools and the curriculum followed in educating Moslem girls, so that they would grow up to be good mothers, aware of their role in the battle of liberation.”

https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/hamas.asp

“As in previous years, the summer camps focus on familiarizing the youngsters with various weapons, including the AK-47, sniper guns, RPG launchers, mortars and machine guns. The campers practice assembling and disassembling the weapons, holding them and using them, and also train in urban warfare and tunnel warfare. Some of the lessons are taught by masked members of Hamas’ armed wing, the ‘Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, and some are even held in Hamas military bases. A boy at one of the camps gave a demonstration of tunnel warfare for Younis Al-Astal, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council on behalf of Hamas, who toured the camps with other Hamas officials. At some of the camps, Israeli flags were spread on the ground so that the campers would step on them. Terrorists who carried out deadly attacks against Israelis are presented to the campers as role models, and their portraits feature in the camps and in camp activities.”

And most probably are.

When Israel is through neutralizing Gaza, they must deport the survivors to any place that will take them.

And sink the boat on the way there.
