Yeah, I know I’ve had to go well over 85+ passing due to oncoming traffic on certain rural roads.

Life is precious. If a speed governor SAVES JUST ONE LIFE, then it’s well worth a very slight reduction in speed.

Imagine how many we could save if the world-wide speed limit was 20 miles an hour.

it’d be good to ban air travel, too, for all the unimportant or unncessary trips for such time wasters as “vacations,” and “business travel” in a world where Zoom is just as good — and for more time and pollution efficiency.

An Efficient and safe world is a happy world.

Exactly. And when someone dies in a head on because the limiter kicked in during a pass guess who gets sued it won’t be the F’ers who shoved this BS through.

You are correct. There are moments when exceeding the speed limit is warranted.

A short burst of speed can be required to avoid an accident.

If the speed limit is 65 or 70 mph and you are driving at 85 for many miles, weaving to get ahead of all in sight, on the road, that is seen but never warranted.

Big Brother is wrong, as usual. Leave my gas pedal alone!
