“Arise, O Lord, and judge your own cause…Listen to our prayers, for foxes have arisen seeking to destroy the vineyard whose winepress you alone have trod...The wild boar from the forest seeks to destroy it and every wild beast feeds upon it.”

- Exsurge Domine, Pope Leo X, June 15, 1520

Where’s Henry the II when you need him???

When I first watched the movie ‘Becket’ which was many years ago, I thought of Becket as the hero... I Watched it again a few weeks ago and realized that it was Henry II who was the hero. Becket was defending the church’s stance that only the church could pass judgement on their priest for transgressions made by Priest.

That sort of thinking is why the Catholic church is going broke from lawsuit after lawsuit related to Priest pedophilia.

That’s nonsense... The law applies to everybody, including priest.
