Bibi wants at least some kind of legacy. Hostage return it is. Destruction of hamas has been jettisoned. Gallant said as much in Gaza, saying they are in there till all hostages returned. Well hamas is probably thinking, “ha the only war aim now of the Israelis is hostage return”. So they will give them up quickly. Biden will say no more war required. And Israel will pack up and go home and endure a war of attrition with emboldened musloid crazies, civil fracture and look weak and vulnerable.
As someone recently said "Never again is now."
If Hamas violates the deal, Israel will pound them even harder.
The only way to negotiate with Hamas is with a big stick.
