You are aware that DJT re-wrote the military code for Courts Martial, to include civilians? Yep, EO 13825, March 1 2018.

Doing a quick search using the "civilian" string on the EO 13825 document doesn't return anything.

you should document your claim else don't waste our time.

You are wasting my time.

See my previous post. The EO itself is 2 pages.

The FULL DOCUMENT OF ALL THE CHANGES TO THE USMC IS 465 PAGES AND ‘CIVILIAN’ APPEARS OVER 100 TIMES.

Best of Luck.

Trump's EO 13825 does NOT re-write "the military code for Court Martial, to include civilians".

You are wasting my time.

You waste your time and you waste everybody's time when you can't document your claim.

Most of the military combat units are overseas and unavailable for suppression of domestic dissent. Any attempt by Federal LEOs to suppress dissent would wind up transforming America into a modern equivalent of South Vietnam or Afghanistan, where the regime controls the cities but the countryside is "Indian territory". There are just too few Federal police to control 3 million square miles. This is especially true of red states, where they will get zero cooperation. Even in blue states like Illinois or California, suppression of dissidents will not be supported by county sheriffs in rural counties.

However, it is quite possible our rulers may import massive numbers of foreign troops to do the dirty work. Biden and many of our oligarchs are tied to the CCP, who might oblige with PLA troops in exchange for cession of Hawaii and California as payment.

Kent State didn’t prevent the largest mass arrest in American history and the massive use of the 82nd Airborne and the Marines a year later.

“””””I’d like to see 12-15 month enlistments. Get them right out of HS and serve for a year or so in time to start school in the fall at age 19 or so. No technical training, just infantry. “”””””

They already have 2-year enlistments and have had them off and on for over 50 years, in the past if a 2-year soldier decided he wanted to apply for something like the Special Forces he would have to extend his enlistment to accommodate the additional training time, in 1972 that was as little as 8 months extension for Special Forces.

“The two-year option is now available for 84 different career fields, ranging from infantry and combat engineers to paralegals and aviation operations specialists.”

And if the Dems did this, you'd be howling.

President Trump is not a tyrant. Why do you insist he act like one?

“””” I really think it would be more to boost policing efforts temporarily.”””””

The problem with the police is that you have to use the ones you have at the time, there isn’t a large number of additional cops available that you can call up for one-time events, or for a few weeks.

The states find the National Guard to be the temporary force they need for riots and emergencies.

Re: 61 - Forget it. That FReeper has been busted, knows it, and now is hiding behind the “look it up yourself” excuse.

Certain civilians depending on if they are on a military installation or in contingency operations may be subject to the UCMJ. That’s not new. But that FReeper made a new claim and has now tucked tail and ran.

This violates the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. The National Guard can be involved but not the Military.

This is not entirely true.

Here is the text of the actual US Code.

18 U.S. Code § 1385 - Use of Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Space Force as posse comitatus:

Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, the Air Force, or the Space Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution says:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.
Since the Posse Comitatus Act allows the United States to use the military as a police force when "expressly authorized by the Constitution," and the Constitution allows the United States to protect the states against invasion, the use of the Army at the border to repel illegal entry would appear to be legal and constitutional.

Furthermore, the Constitution allows the United States to protect against "domestic violence" when approved by state legislatures (or the governor if the legislature is not in session). This means that states with rampant looting, shoplifting, carjacking, ram and grab stealing, etc., can have their legislatures request that the United States help them to quell the domestic violence. That help would be in the form of the United States Army.

Protecting against looting and rioting would not be allowed unilaterally by the Commander-in-Chief, but border protection would be allowed.

Congress already has a check and balance against a tyrannical executive abusing a standing army in Article I:

To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;
The Constitution requires Congress to approve the budget for the army every two years. If a Commander-in-Chief uses the army in inappropriate ways, Congress can defund the army to stop the President.
