Biden plans to use cold-war era law in attempt to lower US prices

The White House has announced it plans to use a cold-war era law to ease supply chain issues that the administration argues are contributing to higher inflation – a key electoral challenge to Joe Biden’s re-election chances next year as polling consistently suggests voters are not buying his Bidenomics pitch.

In a statement, the White House said Biden will use the Defense Production Act to improve the domestic manufacturing of medicines deemed crucial for national security and will convene the first meeting of the president’s supply chain resilience council to announce other measures tied to the production and shipment of goods.

Didn’t someone use it a few years ago to make ventilators? What was his name? I forget his name and the occasion.

Not with this crowd. However, SOMETHING (other than, I believe, labor costs) made it more economical to offshore everything. I suspect gov't policies played a role. Trump tried to reverse those. This crowd will just double down and call it good.

Just like reaching back to the Civil War to declare Trump an “insurrectionist” and ineligible for office.

These bastards and their lawfare reach-back for laws that have NOTHING to do with the issues they are facing.

Wait....I thought they said there wasn’t any inflation. Then a post here today has Biden saying companies’ prices were too high and they needed to lower them. Now this????

Something doesn’t smell right, and it’s not just The President’s drawers.

His name is Trump, and he was hailed as the “greatest president evah” for invoking the Defense Production Act. Because Trump can do no wrong. And Biden can do no right. Even when they’re doing the same thing.

I’ve been saying for months now how they want to nationalize everything. Here’s more evidence.

This will likely have the opposite affect, shortages and higher prices. Didn’t anyone in the Whitehouse read Adams Smith’s book “The wealth of nations”?

Sloe Joe, The Hoe and the members of their criminal thug administration need to ‘splain to me how they (the very people who intentionally and with malice aforethought broke the system!) are going to fix the system!

IIRC, there is a famous ex-_resident who was overheard saying words to the effect that “Joe Biden has effed up everything he has touched!”

Sloe Joe has effed up America! Fer Shure! Fer Shure!

Sloe Joe does not have the smarts or the ability to fix the problems he and his incompetent thugs have created!

Smoke and mirrors. Inflation is caused by the expansion of the money supply. With Government spending much more than it takes in Inflation is just another one of its hidden taxes.

The ONLY way to promote domestic industry is with import tariffs. Every one of this nation’s founding fathers knew this simple fact.

This has been tried before by Nixon, for the exact same reason. Here is an article from 2011 explaining it:
