“citing Beirut precedent”
How did that one work out?
Worth remembering since Arafat left a significant number of fighters behind things haven't gone well for the Paris of the Middle East. As to Arafat, he was in the sights of Israeli snipers but authorization to fire never came.
From 40 Years since Arafat left Beirut while Israel had him Targeted
Can you spell “metastasize”?
I believe this article is not behind the WSJ paywall and can be read at the link.
It’s just my opinion but I believe Israel is making a big mistake to rely on anyone’s advice from this US administration. Furthermore, why should the US be involved at all? Why not make the UN (ahem) step up and do their job for once? It should be the UN and not the US.
That is like lancing a boil and then spreading the foul puss all over your body - it will only create more boils.
Shoot dead all the militants as you find them.
My plan would be simple: Glass all of Gaza.
Every one of those Hamas fighters have “peaceful” relatives all over Gaza and the West Ban, and Israel itself(!) rooting them on and ready to turn. There is only one way to solve this.
Expelling them to where? We sure do not want them here.
If you’re going to exile them, it matters where you’re going to exile them to.
I wonder if the Brits would let them use part of South Georgia Island?
Send everyone in Gaza to Yemen, away from Israel, let the Saudis deal with them all lol
Joe will be glad to bring them here.
Exile them to hell.
Exile them to hell. That’s where they’ll end up anyway, so just save some time and a lot of earthly misery.
Problem solved.
You have to eliminate the political infratsructure of Hamas, not just its fighters and fighter commanders.
Other Arab countries DO NOT want these trouble makers in their midst.
RABID DOGS get put down.
HAMAS deserves the same.
I’ve got a better idea!
1. Beirut is the last place to emulate.
2. Letting Arab terrorist gangsters escape is not a Success strategy.
3. Israel isn’t fighting this war to just replace one foreign regime in Gaza with another one.
4. The IDF needs to get in with the job now! Then all of the above speculative bull krap will be made irrelevant anyway.
