Let’s compare how she is treated in comparison to the way Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg was treated.

They'll be respectful. She reversed herself on perverts and joined the majority. She also ran interference with Kennedy on some abortion cases.

Amazing how many young people believe Ruth Buzzy Ginsberg was the first female justice.

That might have something to do with O'Connor being ignored by the press because she was appointed by Reagan and RBG being a leftist darling.

He has stopped medical treatments but isn’t actually in hospice as I understand it.

Thank you for reminding us of the day when President Reagan sold out his supporters

As he would do again with Anthony Kennedy.

Probably a lot of people believe that Martin Luther King, Jr., was the first black American to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize (among the minority of Americans who are even aware that he was awarded it), but Ralph Bunche was.

Carter’s wife, Kissinger, and now O’Conner. I guess they do come in 3s.

There are many who feel SDO was one of Reagan’s biggest mistakes.

But I think she was good.

Reagan’s biggest mistake was GHWB.

I think my post may have got reversed by the way I said it. The hairy chested liberal women are still crocheting doilies for Ginsberg every day. They’re never going to be able to get over her not being on the court. The idiots aren’t old enough to know who O’Conner was.

My dad was nominated by Sen. William Armstrong to President Reagan for what was to be Sandra’s position. Dad declined the meeting with Reagan because he didn’t want to move us to DC. I wish he had taken the meeting but I suspect he knew Reagan could talk him into it. Wish dad were still here so I could dig deeper on that. He certainty would have passed confirmation, if Reagan gave him the green light.

Her life story is extremely interesting. From life on the Lazy B to the most powerful woman in the United States. Her decisions, otoh, often far too muddled to make good, lasting kaw in ANY direction.
