The swaying stopped. Seemed like only about 15 seconds, where the first one lasted about 30 seconds. There have been a number of aftershocks, but I only felt one of them. This time, my dogs didn’t react to it.

It's funny you mention the dogs' lack of reaction to the aftershocks: I have a memory of an earthquake in Idaho when I was a kid that is rather similar in terms of the animals' reactions:

Main shock:
dogs: barking panic
the cat: freaked out and hid underneath a bed

first aftershock:
dogs: alert, but calm.
the cat: ears swiveling wildly, but didn't budge from his spot in a sunbeam on the ottoman

second aftershock:
the dogs: *no reaction*
the cat: *no reaction*

Talk about adaptable...
