Ofir Gendelman, the Arabic-language spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office, gave a statement today in which he emphasized that "the war could be over today."
He gave two conditions for ending the war: the release of the hostages and the surrender and disbanding of Hamas.
"If Hamas continues to fight, the residents of Gaza must know that it does not care for them," Gendelman stated. "Hamas prefers not to free the hostages instead of pursuing the best interests of the residents of Gaza."
He also stated that IDF forces had begun their operations in the south of the Gaza Strip. To the residents of the Gaza Strip, he said: "Hamas does not care about you. After the defeat of Hamas the Gaza Strip will be rebuilt anew. Gazans can live a life far from terror and violence. They will have a chance to live in peace and prosperity, because there will be no terror organization left in the Gaza Strip to threaten it."

Isreal should accept no peace terms as long as any single solitary Hamas member is still breathing... and those that support them should be rotting in the ground as well.

If you were ever a formal member of Hamas, you should be dead, period.... no excuses, no exemptions.
By the time Israel takes out Hamas and their operations throughout Gaza the Gazans will continue being one of the largest welfare recipients in the world..... That’s who they are and they produce nothing but the next generations of hateful and violent offspring.
Only when every Hamas member is room temperature. And every Gazan is shipped to a deserted island.
I have read where Hamas has widespread support. If so, it would be like Nazi Germany. Germany was successfully de-Nazified by having troops stationed there and a change of heart of the population. The problem is Germany was largely a Christian nation, while Gaza is a Muslim nation. Not sure that approach would work here.
Back when Jimmy Carter started talking about a Palestinian homeland, someone suggested digging a big moat at the US border (to stop the illegal aliens) and using the dirt to build an island to be the Palestinian homeland.

In all fairness, the vast majority if arabs in Gaza support HamAss. So they prefer being human shields. Bombs away!
You won’t know what the Gazans think of Hamas until there’s no more possibility of being thrown off a building for speaking their minds, and long after a better alternative is in place, that isn’t in the habit of killing dissenters.
