Remington to Close N.Y. Plant After Sandy Hook Settlement

The Observer-Dispatch reported Friday that RemArms, formerly the Remington Arms Company, will be closing its historic gun manufacturing facility in Ilion, New York, this coming March, following a settlement reached a year ago with Sandy Hook families.

"I am writing to inform you that RemArms, LLC ('the Company') has decided to close its entire operations at 14 Hoefler Avenue, Ilion, NY 13357 (the 'Ilion Facility')," a letter from the company sent to union officials on Thursday read. "The Company expects that operations at the Ilion Facility will conclude on or about March 4, 2024. The Company did not arrive at this decision lightly."

Remington, the nation's oldest gun manufacturer, was founded 1816 in Ilion. In recent years, the company has struggled with financial difficulties. It has filed for bankruptcy twice and, in 2022, agreed to a $73 million settlement with families affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. This case marked the first instance of a gun manufacturer being sued and having to pay out for a mass shooting. Remington manufactured the rifle Adam Lanza, the shooter, used to take the lives of 20 children and six adults.

They could resurface in Huntsville, Alabama, and away from the Unions. Redstone Arsenal has plenty of people that no longer work there that could revitalize the company and make a quality product. Any weapons manufacturer left in NY has got to have a mental management problem.

So how exactly is Remington liable for the Sandy Hook shooting? Did it walk into the school all by itself and start shooting? Or did a deranged shooter do the dead?

This is theft by government. The government is *STEALING* that money.

Or a wife who loves shopping on 5th Avenue. :)

Or did a deranged shooter do the deed?

That's the popular narrative. There are others.

What a shame, it's not like a product liability suit. The liability was with the shooter, or those who allowed the shooter access to a weapon he should not have. Or a school that failed to protect students.

It is a sad fact of life that companies are voting with their feet and moving to locations where politicians don’t constantly oppose their actions.

So how exactly is Remington liable for the Sandy Hook shooting?

Remington founded and opened a factory in New York.

Remington Officers failed to note that New Yorkers Voted Criminal DemoKKKrats into Political Power.

Remington failed to move their facilities into States with Constitution supporting populations and Legal Systems before Prog Socialist Jackpot Lawfare was successfully used against them.

Now they must pay 73 Million, raise prices AND move their facilities to a Constitution supporting State.

So the gun manufacturer is held liable for what a deranged killer did. When will car manufacturers get hit with liability when it’s a drunk driver? Or for that matter the alcohol company for what he consumed? Oh wait, can they sue the mother for giving birth to the culprit? /s
