As she woos her party’s wealthy donors, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is promoting a policy that sets her apart from her closest competitors for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination: A willingness to stake out positions on the politically fraught issue of overhauling the nation’s entitlement programs.
In a recent Haley endorsement, Emily Seidel – a top official in the influential political network associated with billionaire Charles Koch – praised the former UN ambassador’s “courage” for advocating changes to “an entitlement system that makes promises it can’t keep.”

Meatball is Cooked, so this is their Latest Clown Launch and she want a pice of your monthly check!!
Go back to sleep citizen and vote for the red or blue team!
I can FIX Social Security permanently OVERNIGHT:
Immediately ABOLISH all Defined Benefit retirement plans that are not 100% Fully Funded without a backstop from existing TAXPAYERS, for all Public Employee’s nationwide, turn over all current Funding sources of said plans to Social Security and REQUIRE all of them to Join and Enjoy their new retirement plan, Social Security, just like everyone else
‘wants to’ is a long way from ‘will do’ or ‘did’...............
I’m old enough to remember the days when Conservatives wanted SS completely gone.
Massively cut unnecessary bureaucracy and reassign those dollars back to social security—that the government stole from the program in the first place.
Until Conservatives paid into it for years. Touch my SS and I’ll shank you!
The Koch-heads and NeoCon psychos have their Nimrata.
All federal employees who have been hired since 1983 must join SS. They pay into both SS and federal retirement systems.
You can thank the Republican Party under the GWB administration for that.
I used to be one of those who wanted Social Security eliminated. I changed my mind when the people in Washington who were proposing major changes to Social Security were the same bucket full of @ssholes who were hell-bent on pissing away thousands of American lives and trillions of dollars on unlimited military campaigns in Third World dumps all over the globe.
I hope Charles Koch and Nikki Haley really push hard on this one. She'll be lucky to get 5% of the votes in any GOP primary.
And definetley not sent to the Ukraine!
And another big step would be to balance the budget of Social Security.
As of today there are unfunded liabilities in the trillions of dollars for future Social Security obligations.
How these unfunded liabilities will ever be funded, is never quite explained by politicians , or people on these Business Roundtable shows on cable TV business Networks.
Give it up, Fredreka (aka CNN ).
If Nikki really wants to be President, she should run as a Democrat. She might carry Vermont.
More money for Ukraine, and the “ green new deal “.
The proletariat doesn’t need their social security.
She just cut her own throat. Good!
At least she’s talking about it. Most politicians are terrified to even bring up the subject. This country is beyond broke. Do you ever hear Trump talk about the debt, the deficit, and the coming collapse?
Reforming social security would be a 30+ year transition period. It could make it better for new people entering the workforce by allowing them to invest a small portion of the 12.4% into a portable personal account. That percentage would also be phased in, perhaps starting at 1% and growing to 12.4 over 30-50 years. Yes, totally privatize SS over the next 50 years.
That is a losing platform to run on.
{visualizing Dem opposition ads of Haley pushing Grandma in her wheelchair off the cliff}
Of course it can’t keep the promises that they made. They need the money for the 50 million illegals that are living on the government teat here. Then we go to pay off the student loan deadbeat brats’ loans that THEY signed for. Then we’ve got the bottom dwellers who are “victims” of what America did to the environment and the Ukraine who needs big bucks to defend THEIR BORDER. Finally we have all of the new “refugees” working on Capitol Hill who need a little starter money to get them on their way to making their first million.
