Quit smoking in 1976 after 14 years of smoking. Could never stand menthols.
I guess naming the original menthol Kool was a successful marketing ploy to get black smokers hooked
Ex smoker here. At one time I smoked True Green 100s or B&H Menthols. Stopped for 2 years. Picked it up again but realized how awful menthol cigarettes are. Switched to non-menthol before quitting for good.
