I live in Nevada. Whey have used caucuses here for years-—until 2020 when they flooded us with Mail In Voting.
When you go to a caucus-—You MUST stand in line-—ID yourself—Your name has to be on the voting rolls—you have to sign the book-—and THEN you are given a ballot to use as you caucus.
Caucus takes more time & you sit with neighbors & DISCUSS what is on your mind regarding the candidates.
Republican Caucuses are held separate from Democrat caucuses.
Don’t know about the rest.....
In 2016-—neighbor & I arrived over 1 hour ahead of ‘doors opening’. Line was already at least 40 people long & 2 wide & doors were open early. Stayed inside for about 2 hours-—discussing-—MOST were TRUMP SUPPORTERS. Local school complex.
When we left-—the line was 4 wide and went all the way to one of the athletic fields-—about 150 feet-—where vehicles were also parked.
We found out that they ran out of ballots 2 times & had to open up the school offices to copy more blanks.
NO ACCOUNTING FOR STUPID.

Anyone with the slightest experience in either Iowa or NH politics knows that any attempt of any candidate or their staff or followers—real or perceived—to tamper with the process is an act of war—never to be forgiven—and never to be forgotten.
It is the “third rail” of caucus and primary campaigning.

Good post—exactly how it works in most caucus states.
Casey just blew up the campaign—and a million excuses, apologies, language parsing exercises and spinning campaign lackeys won’t be able to save it.
The people who actually attend the Iowa caucuses are the folks that matter—and like you they know exactly how the process works—gaslighting is just going to remind them never to support DeSantis for any national office—not even dogcatcher.

Really? I took her comments being help to canvas the state and get the word out - not vote in the caucus. I assume only idiots would think that meant to vote illegally.
But that would require the votes to be accumulated in an honest manner to begin with - let’s worry about the caucus and not the state and general election voter fraud I believe is rampant!
What is funny, it looks like whomever is running these PACs for DeSantis support are practicing the Donald Trump style of picking cabinet members.

Wow, exactly WHO wears the boots in the DeSantis political family? Casey DeSantis is not the candidate running for the caucus win.
But there’s Ron sitting there on primetime TV with his mouth shut and blinking his eyes like crazy as his spouse tells people to flood Iowa to “participate” in the Iowa caucus.
This is uncanny! History will record the DeSantis campaign as the worst in Presidential election history.
