PM says during Cabinet meeting that the war with Hamas will continue until 'Gaza is never again a threat to Israel.'
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this morning (Sunday) at the weekly Cabinet meeting that Israel is continuing with all its might to carry out the war against Hamas.
"The fighting in the Gaza Strip continues with greater intensity to achieve all its goals - the elimination of Hamas, the return of all our hostages, and the promise that Gaza will never again be a threat to Israel," Netanyahu stated.
He also delivered a message to the American government. "In the last two days, I spoke with [German] Chancellor Scholz, with French President Macron, and with other leaders, and I told them that it is impossible to support the elimination of Hamas with one hand and pressure us to end the war with the other hand. Justice is on our side."

Hamas invades Israel and Israel is bad.
Confusing....no the US just instigating...
Hamas is merely the sock puppet for the true enemy : Islam. The situation is similar to an alcoholic. They don’t have a chance of getting sober unless they admit they have a problem. Too few people are willing to admit Islam is the problem.
I know Israel wants our $$’s but I hope they tell us to pound sand.
I have zero sympathy for Hamas OR the Palestinian folks after reading that some 70% supported the Oct. 7 attacks.
Just kill them all then start on the West Bank.
Bibi is right of course. It’s the kind doublespeak that we come to expect from this administration. Yes of course conceptually you can end the hamas, you just can’t kill any of them. Bibi immediately recognized these contradictory statements. Democrats speaking from both sides of their mouth.
Lets hope he acts accordingly.
> Too few people are willing to admit Islam is the problem. <
Good post. A rough analogy might be the child abuse that occurred in the Catholic Church. It was going on for decades and decades. Nobody said a thing. Then finally a few brave people spoke up. Then more. Eventually even the Catholic hierarchy realized reform was necessary.
Same goes with Islam. But that will be a much tougher nut to crack, as Islam is all about killing anyone who “mocks” Islam. So the brave people needing to speak up will probably have to be national leaders.
Disclaimer: I’m not picking on the Catholic Church particularly. It’s just an example. Every large organization has skeletons in the closet.
Not willing, ignorant (not surprising considering how Islam
And its history is generally portrayed), or willing accomplices.
As long a “religion of peace” narrative exists and the history of Islam covered up, there will be no solution.
Hamas is a symptom, one head of the snake. You can’t destroy an ideology by force, it must be discredited, and sadly that will not happen.
For now it is wack a mole
Hamas or whatever other name or organization rises, will continue there are plenty who believe in the “cause”
A brief understanding of the creation and expansion of Islam should be all one needs, bud sadly most are too stupid or brainwashed to understand and act.
Like LGBTQXYZ wearing che t-shirts
It’s what happens when your geostrategery goes woke, dumb and sticky fingered all at the same time.
Learn to show some respect, Bibi.
“Just kill them all then start on the West Bank.”

Isn’t that like the Final Solution talk?
Awful.
BLOWBACK: HOW ISRAEL WENT FROM HELPING CREATE HAMAS TO BOMBING IT
WHAT DO YOU know about Hamas?
That it’s sworn to destroy Israel? That it’s a terrorist group, proscribed both by the United States and the European Union? That it rules Gaza with an iron fist? That it’s killed hundreds of innocent Israelis with rocket, mortar, and suicide attacks?
But did you also know that Hamas — which is an Arabic acronym for “Islamic Resistance Movement” — would probably not exist today were it not for the Jewish state? That the Israelis helped turn a bunch of fringe Palestinian Islamists in the late 1970s into one of the world’s most notorious militant groups? That Hamas is blowback?
This isn’t a conspiracy theory. Listen to former Israeli officials such as Brig. Gen. Yitzhak Segev, who was the Israeli military governor in Gaza in the early 1980s. Segev later told a New York Times reporter that he had helped finance the Palestinian Islamist movement as a “counterweight” to the secularists and leftists of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Fatah party, led by Yasser Arafat (who himself referred to Hamas as “a creature of Israel.”)
“The Israeli government gave me a budget,” the retired brigadier general confessed, “and the military government gives to the mosques.”
“Hamas, to my great regret, is Israel’s creation,” Avner Cohen, a former Israeli religious affairs official who worked in Gaza for more than two decades, told the Wall Street Journal in 2009. Back in the mid-1980s, Cohen even wrote an official report to his superiors warning them not to play divide-and-rule in the Occupied Territories, by backing Palestinian Islamists against Palestinian secularists. “I … suggest focusing our efforts on finding ways to break up this monster before this reality jumps in our face,” he wrote.
They didn’t listen to him. And Hamas, as I explain in the fifth installment of my short film series for The Intercept on blowback, was the result. To be clear: First, the Israelis helped build up a militant strain of Palestinian political Islam, in the form of Hamas and its Muslim Brotherhood precursors; then, the Israelis switched tack and tried to bomb, besiege, and blockade it out of existence.
In the past decade alone, Israel has gone to war with Hamas three times — in 2009, 2012, and 2014 — killing around 2,500 Palestinian civilians in Gaza in the process. Meanwhile, Hamas has killed far more Israeli civilians than any secular Palestinian militant group. This is the human cost of blowback.
“When I look back at the chain of events, I think we made a mistake,” David Hacham, a former Arab affairs expert in the Israeli military who was based in Gaza in the 1980s, later remarked. “But at the time, nobody thought about the possible results.”
They never do, do they?

No reason for the US to help clean up Israel’s mess.
well yes but....... there’s a difference, a great difference.
All of Hamas including the women is guilty of killing Jews.
Exterminating all of Hamas after at least 75 years of repeated and constant Jew killing is defensive and thus justifiable
Your suggestion of the current war being similar to the final solution is disgusting.
Disclaimer: I’m not picking on the Catholic Church particularly…”
You may not mean to but the picking on is sort of built in. The public schools have a higher incidence of molestation than the church. It seems that we ought to hear about that at least as much as the church…but we don’t.
Israel should end the war. And build a wall with Ham-ass bodies.
Hamas et al. are Biden/Obama/Democrat Party creations because they are financing Iran with their energy and climate policies.
Why are you encouraging the Jewish State of Israel to commit genocide?
None of that matters. Hamas is being exterminated for the good of Israel and those living in what was Palestine
Wonder what they are going to do with all the Hamas that they are capturing? If they ever turn them loose again Hamas will go right back at it. Can’t see them supporting a small army in jail till they all die naturally.
It is possible because people making such statements want Israel to lose this war. They just do not want to say that openly.
"Justice is on our side."
Which is mostly irrelevant. The side that wins is the side that can turn out the most fighters for the longest time. That is a logistics and training problem.
