20 years ago, I was a scoutmaster and merit badge counselor for my sons Troop sponsored by our local catholic church. I would have never imagined that those two institutions would be where they are today.

Exactly, and, if the law allowed criminal charges by individual, then the organization wouldn't act as 1) shield for and 2) deep pockets to pay for the pedophiles. As it stands, the whole is oriented towards a big payout for the class action attorneys while the perps skate, more or less.
