Their lawyer tried to argue the charge down because the merchandise they stole could have been bought for less than the documented value on sale and with coupons for store discounts.

"Luckily, the District Attorney in Douglas County is John Kellner, who beat out George Soros-backed Amy Padden in the last election."
If that Soros-backed DA had gotten in, all charges would have been dropped - and the perps allowed to keep the merch.

I read this yesterday and still haven’t stopped laughing. It’s amazing how far America’s average I.Q. has fallen since O’Bama’s race war was started.

With that logic, I should be able to go to a Five Guys and steal a bulk box of peanuts with NO sentence.

Imagine the fun these lawyers would have with a “Buy one, get one free” sale: hey, he only stole the one that would be free anyway!

I watched a lady at Five Guys — a daughter of Obama — fill her entire brown paper bag full of peanuts, overflowing, after her family finished their dinner.

OR if someone ran off without paying their legal fees to THAT lawyer, arguing that other people get free representation.

Since it was just $94.98 that separated the pair from a felony and a misdemeanor, their lawyer tried to argue the charge down because the merchandise they stole could have been bought for less than the documented value on sale and with coupons for store discounts. By this reasoning, the thieves should have free rein in the house of the lawyer, saying, "All this junk is gonna end up in a flea market sooner or later."

No kidding! This was my mother’s favorite place until her passing in 2019 - took my son there two days ago, first time I’d been back.
For two of us - cheeseburgers one large, one small, small fries (to share) and one shake - it was $45.
California - where fast food workers make $20/hour. Place was empty, unlike when I used to take my mother there and it was always full of people.

They needed some Northface ski clothes so they would look spiffy up on the Aspen slopes for all those new RAT voters looking for jobs there.
