'The White House simply ignores energy realities by once again limiting US energy production opportunities,' ..

The Biden administration on Friday finalized a plan to dramatically curb the number of offshore oil and gas lease sales over the next five years as it continues to aggressively push green energy development.

The Department of the Interior's (DOI) five-year offshore oil and gas leasing program schedules just three Gulf of Mexico lease sales through 2029, marking the fewest number of sales ever included in such a plan, which the agency is mandated to issue periodically. According to the DOI, holding the sales will enable future offshore wind leases under an Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provision that tethers the two.

Biden’s approach to severely limit leasing significantly curtails access to a critical national asset," ... "The White House simply ignores energy realities by once again limiting U.S. energy production opportunities."

...

regressive policies will harm Americans of all walks of life by putting upward pressure on prices at the pump, destroying good-paying jobs that form the fabric of Gulf Coast communities, and relinquishing geopolitical advantages of energy production to countries like Russia, Iran and China

...

policies limiting offshore production in the U.S. only serve to force greater reliance on energy imports, including from nations with higher emissions and worse environmental standards.

This isn’t even a 10$ deal - this is just plain “dog in the manger”.

The horses in the stable want to feed on the hay in the manger, but the dog has crawled into the manger and made his bed there. When the horses approach the manger, the dog growls viciously at the horse nearest, and the horses go hungry. The dog cannot eat the hay itself, but prevents its consumption by those who have the most to gain by access.

An interesting conundrum. Nobody benefits, in the end.

The sparrows, dependent on the horse droppings, then go hungry as well.

We need the oil, not the controlling of offshore wind leases, which seem very expensive & impractical. More of our own oil should mean lower prices. More offshore wind projects mean more problems. There is a song by Hank Williams,Jr. called “Mr. Lincoln” & that is what we need more of & less(better yet;none) of Mr. Biden & his band of misfits.

We need a clean sweep of these people & even BEFORE the next election if that were possible.

We cannot touch the offshore for oil, since we need to destroy it by building windmills there!

The Biden administration on Friday finalized a plan to dramatically curb the number of offshore oil and gas lease sales over the next five years as it continues to aggressively push green energy development.

This is for everyone who thinks that Biden is a goner and people who vote Democrat are finally seeing the light. What they are seeing is this regime doing the things they believe in---green energy, abortion, trans agenda, open borders. It's always means to the end with them and they're seeing that Biden is the means to those ends they seek. He can wander off stages, have a press secretary who makes imbecile seem like a lofty goal, a wife who dresses like a French hooker (why she and Macron's grammy get along so well), and a son who snorts foul lines off hookers after playing bag man for the Big Guy, but as long the Biden regime delivers what the RAT voter wants, they will line up for another term. Ditto for any alternative to Biden who pledges to continue what's being done.

Assuming, of course, you can neutralize the fraud that is going to dwarf 2020. we're only going to beat the RAT ticket and down ballot scum by being forceful and united against these policies. It's not going to be discontent even if you go to election day 2024 with gas prices through the roof, China sending more balloons over us than what you see on nomination night at the party conventions, and the current occupant of the White House asking for more pudding pops on national TV. Long, tough road ahead.
