UAW files unfair labor practice charges against Honda, Hyundai, and Volkswagen, Tesla continues to face pressure from the Nordic region for its anti-union stance, a new federal report links a fatal poultry plant gas release to poor workplace safety conditions, and a Wall Street Journal article reflects on the biggest union wins of 2023.
The UAW has filed unfair labor practice charges with the NLRB against Honda, Hyundai, and Volkswagen. The union has alleged that the three automakers have committed various illegal union-busting tactics in response to increased organizing efforts at their U.S. plants. Among other allegations, the union has claimed that Volkswagen has threatened workers for discussing union representation and has confiscated and destroyed pro-union materials in the break room. The union has also alleged that Honda has targeted workers for pro-union activity and that Hyundai has “unlawfully confiscated, destroyed, and prohibited pro-union materials in nonwork areas during nonwork times.”

The fascist union thugs are getting restless.
These companies are in for it because the UAW has the US Government at the ready. The head of the UAW sided with the muzzies and has demanded a gaza cease fire, that story got spiked.
They are mad because when employees have a chance to fairly vote against unions, unions lose. Same with democrats. If Dems can’t cheat, they can’t win.
They just about killed the “big three”, so they need to get some new membership.
I never understood the motivation for joining a union. Unions lump everyone into defined categories (e.g., union member for X years and Master Welder). You are bound by the limits of that range. If you are in a certain category but a less productive worker, you are overpaid. If you’re in the same category but highly productive, you’re underpaid. The assumption is that productivity within categories is uniform. Experience tells us that’s not true. End result: less productive workers favor unions because of the protection it affords them and more productive workers end up supporting those who are less-than-average in performance. In many cases (e.g., a “union shop”), you have no choice but to live with it. Since there’s no incentive to be more productive than the average worker, overall productivity sags below what it could be and the US becomes less competitive in world markets.
Maybe these companies and employee’s just don’t like Communists?
Is that most all union workers are quiet quitters, which makes union work totally inefficient at every level.

They never learn. That’s why after a hundred years they are still never happy.
To which they will say Adios USA and Hola Mexico!
later
An Union shop can be a good thing. If you’re an electrician, you might want to join an Union. They’ll provide you with more protections and benefits.
If you’re a good electrician, why do you need them? Find an open shop, get a better wage because you’re talented, and save the union dues to supplement your SS retirement.
It's illegal for Hyundai to confiscate non-company materials from its own buildings? I'd bet it's OK though to confiscate "Jesus Is Coming" materials left lying around.
The union has alleged that the three automakers have committed various illegal union-busting tactics.
Think it’s bad now wait until the Tong show up.
Projection.
I haven’t bought a UAW made car since 1990...and I ain’t gonna do so ever again.
I’m an electrician. Union guys are garbage. I won’t hire them, and I won’t even let them near a site I’m on. Useless twats.
Unions and communism go hand in hand. As a former infanteer, I despise them greatly.
Exactly.
