So blessing of individual sinners, not of their sinful relationships?

Linguistic acrobatics to confuse the laity and outsiders. Then with a wink and a nod a few years down the road, yeah, same sex “unions” are okay in our books.

Irrespective, I suspect that the steady stream of dissatisfied Catholics inquiring into Orthodox Christianity with swiftly swell into a tsunami.

I pray that we will be both ready and discerning.

(with a wink and a nod)”Now we’re just blessing you two, not your relationship. Hope you understand.”

Hilarious seeing how the sheep fall for every story about how Francis is a marxist leftist while they cannot point to even one document or statement about church teachings being changed by his decree.

He cozies up to one world demons. This Catholic can see that very clearly. He’s being used to help usher in the Great Reset.

What value is there in a blessing for the unrepentant?

It is purposefully ambiguous.

The abomination of desolation?

Oh please. The usual Bergoglio apologists are at it again.

He can say whatever he wants, but he knows that James Martin et al. Are already designing little rites for their gay friends. Bergoglio knows that people are going to see this as gay marriage, or, in the case of straight couples who may be married to other people or living together with no intention of marrying, as a way of saying that sacramental marriage doesn’t really matter anyway.

Its all good, right?

Informal blessings aren't anything special.
I went through the Catholic School system and I've seen pretty much everything blessed.
If a priest rolled into your classroom for something, the nuns would fall all over themselves of course thanking the priest for coming to visit and there was always a Designated Bootlicker, hand picked by the nun, that would ask the priest as he left..."may we have your blessing father".
I've seen a stack of report cards blessed.
Really not a big deal unless the alphabet people keep pushing and finally end up causing a Church wide schism.

Local news (See BS affiliate) was very careful to state several times that this is not allowing marriage, and whatever blessing is used cannot imply marriage, so give them credit for that. They also interviewed a sodomite who said the church has a long way to go, and stated that marriage is, “according to the Catholic Church” between 1 man and 1 woman. Kind of easy to tell where their sympathies lie.

Every post I’ve seen on this site about the story was from a blog.

As per usual, nobody actually knows exactly what this poser was trying to say.

I am profoundly sad. I pray for all the confused young people that are impressionable and now have a world telling them it is okay to be sinful. The media and the world will not look at the details of the Vatican press release. This declaration from Francis sows nothing but confusion to a fallen and confused world.

All christian denominations of Christian faith have split apart over homosexual sin. The Catholic Church was the rock that protected marriage from divorce and adultery and homosexuality and now it has fallen to the world. Why? Why does the Catholic Church fail on homosexuality at the same time the U.S. Senate is desecrated by homosexuals.

Have the majority of the magisterium become homosexuals in the Church and go along with this Francis heresy? The Catholic Church was a beacon of hope to protect young people from this terrible sin. Now they will believe the Church says it is okay to fall to the sin of homosexuality with the blessing of the Catholic Church? This saddens me deeply. Do I continue to support a church with leadership that is fallen? When the Catholic Church closed its doors during covid I found myself going to a Presbyterian Church with open doors. I will never leave or abandon my faith in my Catholic belief of the sacred sacraments. Many Cardinals and Bishops and many priests have fallen. Christ will always be there for His flock. The sheep are being separated from the goats. May the Immaculate heart of Christ and our Savior triumph over all the evil in the world. May God bless all those who truly believe.

Lehner explains that “some bishops will use it as a pretext to do what the document explicitly forbids, especially since the Vatican has not stopped them before....

This is EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE HOPING FOR...A MISCOMMUNICATION, AND MISUNDERSTOOD PHRASE AND A TOTAL DISASTER.

That man posing as a pope has to go.

He is as devious as Satan, as cunning as any heretic who may have tried to eliminate Catholics...

Ignore the man in White, until we can replace him with a GOOD MAN.

No, the media aren’t lying. Berglogio and his deplorable posse knew exactly what they were doing... and they knew exactly how the media would take their convoluted document and boil it down to “Church will now bless same-sex relationships.” It doesn’t matter what kind of hair-splitting pseudo-orthodoxy exists in the text of the document, the “spirit” of the document is exactly what the media is saying it is.

This has been a tactic since VII. Put out documents or statements that are intentionally ambiguous and the liberal interpretation always wins out. But if this is truly ambiguous
, there’s no question which side Frankie is on. It’s a done deal. Now the world will think that the Catholic Church teaches it’s okay to be a queer.
