“Kind of odd that the FBI can track down a young woman who did next to nothing . . .”
The evidence she was carrying a taser to “peacefully protest” inside the Capitol likely attracted the attention of authorities and will not sit well with a DC jury. The fact she had a taser, and one of her companions had a gas mask at the protests, will be interpreted by the jury the defendant came to the Capitol expecting violence and prepared to engage in violence.
DC is a dangerous city with lots of street crime (and more so daily) and many women feel threatened there, so they carry tasers which is generally considered a defensive weapon. Is there any evidence that she used it?
