that issue of cops documenting their encounters was FORCED on Chicago PD during O-Bummer reign..it's a major reason why crime is UP.

Cops just don't care about the paperwork

Tell ya the truth, I think I like these changes.

Solitary confinement can drive you literally insane, permanently. It is cruel punishment, if not unusual.

And who can possibly be against cops recording their own behavior?

I can’t see the officers complain much. They will just interact much less to prevent paperwork and less interactions keeps them safer.

New Yawk didn’t learn the lesson of what happens when you make your city a “sanctuary” for illegal aliens. Now it’s a “sanctuary” for felons. ROTFL! Losers gotta be losers.

It’s like New York and California are having a race to see who can enact the stupidest policy every day. I’ve got you beat ... No no no ... I’ve got you beat ... etc etc etc

I have no problem with body cams, dash cams and cameras in police stations...including in interrogation rooms. Cameras protect the cops, they protect innocent civilians and they even protect suspects. The only problem I have with them is that when a video makes the cops look bad the cameras always seem to malfunction.

The only way to record the information is to ask every contact(everyone walking down the sidewalk) for identification. Some may even require frisking...for their own safety.

I give it three days.

Have to document every street stop? Liberal advocates of this idiocy might not like the logical consequence: “Papiers, bitte!”

Ahh more rules for the cops, this will change nothing and only make things worse in the long run. This type of legislation will have many unintended consequences that it will boggle the mind.

No solitary confinement? Ok, so a low level street thug gets tossed into the gen pop and low and behold, they get beaten to death, the cops get blamed for not protecting the perp, cops get sued, city pays millions, again.

No, the solution is to change the society so once again there is such thing as wrong and right, but hey we all know that WILL NEVER happen. Good luck.

Why bother spending two minutes stopping a shoplifter if you have to spend 2 hours doing paperwork?

Mayor Eric Adams should simply not enforce the ordinance.

Prosecutors seem to be able to pick and choose which laws they enforce. They just do what they want and feel is right regardless.

I see no reason why the good mayor should be held to a higher standard. He should just ignore the law and do what he thinks is right.
