A prominent professor has called for the immediate sacking of Harvard University president Claudine Gay to steer the school “back towards sanity” after she allegedly plagiarized other academics’ work 40 times.
Political science professor Dr. Carol Swain, formerly of Vanderbilt University, claims Gay used sections of a book she published in 1993 and an article published in 1997 without crediting her. “Fire Claudine Gay posthaste,” Swain posted Thursday on X, as part of a post titled “some free unsolicited advice for Harvard University.”
“She can be relieved of duties until the terms are negotiated. “Hire the best man or woman who can steer the university back towards sanity.”

She will be fired. Why would Gay plagiarize a conservative?

Harvard is a bunch of phony fake frauds.
She has credibility with me. I have heard her speak. She is no racist or Affirmative Action hire.
I believe she used to be a Lefty, so...it might have been some of that work that was plagiarized.
But Ms. Swain, like David Horowitz, saw the light and made the journey to conservatism.
She is a good voice to have on our side in the same way David Horowitz is.
She knows the Left, and knows how they think.
Agreed she should be fired.
You cannot excuse this behavior.

Earlier this month, a top oversight board at Harvard said it had become aware in late October “of allegations regarding three articles.” An independent review found “no violation of Harvard’s standards for research misconduct,” but revealed “a few instances of inadequate citation.” Gay is requesting four corrections to two of her academic articles “to insert citations and quotation marks that were omitted from the original publications,” the board said.
See? Plagiarism is easy to fix. Just add citations and quotation marks, and that's it! No harm, no foul!
Nothing is over until the wealthy alumni decide that it’s over. And if she does go, it will be a very financially rewarding sacking.
If Gay had an ounce of decency in her, she’d pack up and leave.
Her continued presence where she does not belong is very telling.

She is a prime example as to why I do not accept at face value someone claiming a degree during a hiring process. I want to see transcripts and grades and primary work output such as dissertations and capstones.
Far too many diversity grads are simply passed through without doing the work.
Yeah, that's some real "Ivy League level" cleverness right there. I used to feel bad that they didn't accept my undergraduate application. But now I see why. I'm just not capable of that level of over-the-top brilliance.
