Arizona rancher says border crisis is 'still outrageous' as illegal migrant crossings surge
...
A fifth-generation Arizona rancher said an influx of illegal migrants crossing his land in recent years has increased his fear that terrorists are successfully sneaking into America.
...
The ongoing crisis at the southern border is breaking records as illegal migrant entries skyrocket, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data. The first week of December saw a record-setting 18,900 migrant apprehensions in Arizona's Tucson Sector alone, the section's Chief Border Patrol Agent John Modlin said.
By comparison, that's about 2,000 more encounters than all of December 2021 for that sector, according to CBP data. Daily encounters also reached a new record-high across the southern border earlier this month, with more than 12,000 migrants flooding in on Dec. 4.
"It's a national security issue," Chilton said. "I'm very concerned that terrorists are coming across the border."
...
CBP encountered 169 people on the FBI terror watch lists between ports of entry at the southern border in fiscal 2023, data show. That total exceeded not only the previous year's record-setting 98 encounters, but the last six fiscal years combined.
"When are they going to strike, and are they walking through my ranch?" Chilton said.
The border rancher previously told Fox News his wife, while home alone, opened the door to MS-13 members carrying guns.
...
He said cartels fight for control of the trails through his ranch, and he's occasionally seen coyotes smuggling migrants across his land.
"We have cartel scouts on our mountains," he said. They "really have control of everything."
The fifth-generation rancher is frightened that cartels flood certain areas with migrants to divert Border Patrol agents, creating undermanned sections where smugglers can bring in terrorists and drugs.

Most folks think a few hundred coming across. No big deal. As previous, 85% clueless folks here in the U.S. Maybe 15% have at least a clue.
I don’t blame the ranchers for going full Rambo in this case.
85% of the population is just naive and willfully ignorant.
Sounds like it’ll come to a shooting engagement sooner than later.
Just remember, the cartels and those scouts work for the CIA, they are our employee’s, Be Careful!!!
Americans have dire warning: ‘We have cartel scouts on our mountains, in our cities, towns, deserts, and in our government.
Leaving the borders wide open while aiding and abetting these invaders proves those in this government do not give two sh*ts about the safety or welfare of the American people.
“We have cartel scouts on our mountains,” he said. They “really have control of everything.”
Pointed that out here many times before. Apparently doesn’t bother people to know that foreign nationals occupy high ground in Arizona with automatic weapons.
We used to have firefights with the Mexican illegals half century ago on the ranches in Southern Arizona; they were all criminals who had bribed their way out of Mexican prisons. Going North was the only way to prevent being re-arrested. They were all armed. But those were pistols, these guys have AR’s and Kalashnikovs.
Also, don’t kid yourselves. More than a few of these ranchers are part of the problem. They take handsome cartel bribes to look the other way, and to lock Border Patrol out of their land. And some of those ranches are HUGE.
Border Patrol is allowed to go on those border ranches, BUT that means walking. A rancher can restrict them to that and not allow them to use trucks, ATVs, Jeeps, horses, etc.
So that means a Border Patrol man must walk 3 or 4, or even 10 miles across the desert to access the border in some spots.
I had this conversation with a USBP man in Nogales AZ one day. He had a lot to say about the corruption on border ranches.
Cartels how up, and you can be alone out there, far from help. Or they point out you can take this suitcase and not look out your window and keep USBP vehicles off your land.
Tough choice, but many do it. And more than a few ranches have a long cross border family and friend culture. Not all, but enough to make a big problem.
Yeah, a few rounds down range from a .338 Lapua should help alleviate the problem. Expensive though, at about $3.50 a round which is what I can load them for.
💥 🤜🤛
“these guys have AR’s and Kalashnikovs.”
Let them... a 30-06 deer rifle with a good shooter and good optics is good for 1500 yards up to a mile. The trendy new shiny thing is semiautomatic when old school bolt actions still work fine and are an advantage for certain applications.
MS-13 is part of the demonut party
Watched the video. Love it. Reach out and touch something.
“Yeah, a few rounds down range from a .338 Lapua should help alleviate the problem.”
Dad’s hand me down 30-06 with modern optics would work fine. And just about everyone already has one.
Yep, not as shiny as all the new trendy toys but old school still works just fine. :)
We have a clear invasion on our borders and throughout this country....while our Presient goes on yet another vacation and his press puts a lid on him!
>> “It’s a national security issue,” Chilton said. “I’m very concerned that terrorists are coming across the border.”
The #ing Rats don’t GAS, so it’s prolly not a problem.
Yeah, you’re right, but the real answer is to just let BORTAC or National Guard Spec Ops take them all out.
Wouldn’t take more then a few days if they were let off the leash.
Jan Brewer tried to do that and Obama stopped her by turning the Guard into support clerks.
