‘Under what authority does this wokeist witch remove a statue signifying an historic event over states rights?’

yeah, the southerners were all for states rights; except when it came to the Fugitive Slave Act, when they were all for the federal governent involving themselves in returning their escaped slaves...

You do know that the act was an enforcement of the Fugitive Slave Clause of the United States Constitution - the pro-slavery U.S. Constitution that President Lincoln took an oath twice to protect and defend?

Correct me if I'm wrong: of the original 13 slave states, 13 of them voted to incorporate the Fugitive Slave Clause into the constitution at the founding.

The statue wasn’t about slaves, rather it was about the southern women left behind while the men folk were fighting the north.

They were fighting an army made up ,
in large part, by Irish
immigrants.
