I went to school there for awhile many, many years ago. It was a good school. I had an apartment on Redondo Beach Blvd., just across the street from campus. I have many fond memories of El Camino.

I have to remind myself it is a terrible thing when an innocent person is murdered regardless of the nature of the perp. I admit the murderer’s description and the mystery of motive are hard for me to ignore.
Note that new loathsome word for derelict or bum or homeless person:
“A woman in her 60s was killed on El Camino College campus by an unhoused man with a sledgehammer, according to campus police.”

Nobody needs high-capacity assault sledgehammers. It’s time for commonsense sledgehammer control laws, including one-a-month laws, closing the thrift store loophole, and banning all sledgehammers above 3.9 pounds. Do it for the children, even though the victim was 60 years old.
