Jack Smith goes full Soviet, demands to micromanage President Trump's defense
American Thinker ^ | 12/28/2023 | Monica Showalter

As questions arise as to whether Jack Smith was even legally appointed as President Trump's special prosecutor, and a judge messes up Smith's Super Tuesday timetable for Trump's trial, Smith is showing signs of desperation now.

He's asked the court to wipe out President Trump's defense of himself from insurrection-related charges, and wants his court to allow Trump to defend himself only as Smith wants him to defend himself.

NEW: Jack Smith, in likely vain attempt to keep March 4 trial date, filed another pretrial related to what the jury should be allowed to consider. (All pretrial deadlines now on hold)

Smith wants to preclude the jury from hearing evidence about Jan 6 in his Jan 6 case:

What does Smith not want the even the stacked, favorable D.C. jury to hear about?

Undercover agents -- doing the things agents provocateurs do, which is to provoke. There are probably a lot of deep-staters in that jury pool who know all about this:

Smith wants to prevent jury from learning about presence of undercover agents:

Haven't there been a few cases in Michigan where juries ruled that undercover agents provocateurs lured people into commiting crimes they would never otherwise commit and acquitted the defendants?

Seems like a credible pattern to any reasonable juror to consider actually, and once the facts and discovery are out on Trump’s case, it’s possible that even a stacked jury would rule to acquit Trump.

Smith can’t take that chance. He’s a fanatic with a political agenda, so now he’s wheeling out the Alice in Wonderland tactics, going Soviet. This explains the extremism of his tactics, his insistence on winning despite having a case that is steadily falling apart.

That’s despite his having a favorable judge, a friendly jury, a stacked court district brimming with Washington swamp things, and an unlimited federal budget.

This isn’t a valid appointment, which is supposed to be about justice. This is about a political show trial — of the party, by the party, for the party, and nothing outside the party, as the Bolsheviks in various ways used to say.

Smith is showing himself an outrageous practitioner of show trials, and sentence first, trial later. He’s the ultimate kangaroo court king, deciding what each side is going to say.

It’s time for Congress or the courts to declare his appointment illegal and throw this clown out.

Is it even legally possible for a court to determine that law enforcement personnel at the scene of an alleged crime have “no probative value?”

How does a prosecutor even keep his license to practice law when he makes such an outlandish claim?

.
He’s denying Trump arguing Defense after Defense, as I said he would.

And the Jamaican Judge is egging Smith on.

Like his daughter’s diary, Biden ordered the Raids.

There s nowhere in this country that an unbiased jury can be seated to try President Trump.

That is fact number 1.

discussing this case as if it had any merit whatsoever is falling into a trap.

It has none.

As for Smith attempting to hide the covert operators actions, that by itself is unprecedented. If agents of the government provoked a riot on orders of others in the government, against the will of the President, that is not only exculpatory but also grounds for action against them.

Another motion denies Trump to use Biden’s name, or that Biden or his peeps directed the raids / charges.

When the Prosecution gets to dictate the defense you have to have use, it’s really easy to Win.

“Jack Smith is the trier of facts. No? He thinks he is.”

I don’t believe he thinks he is. He knows for sure that what he’s doing is wrong, and that his “facts” are lies.

There’s an old saying among lawyers. “If you can win the case, Try the case. If you can’t win the case, try everything else.”

Or if it has to be, the voters will decide on Election Day.

Oh? Like in 2020?

If Showalter thinks we can vote our way out of this madness, she hasn’t been paying attention.

Do you mean this Jack Smith?

https://scnr.com/article/whistleblower-complaint-says-special-prosecutor-jack-smith-involved-in-international-extortion-scheme_af9f965a99c311ee9c930242ac1c0002

Whistleblower Complaint Says Special Prosecutor Jack Smith Involved In International Extortion Scheme

Whistleblower Complaint Says Special Prosecutor Jack Smith Involved In International Extortion Scheme The allegations stem from a complaint submitted to the DOJ by former DEA employee John Francis Moynihan.

John Francis Moynihan, a former employee of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), submitted an expansive, 118-page complaint through his attorney to Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz, detailing numerous allegations of criminal activity allegedly committed by Smith prior to his appointment as the special prosecutor in two cases against former President Donald Trump.

The document is an official sworn statement provided to the DOJ under penalty of perjury.

Moynihan informs Horowitz that he has 35 years' experience investigating complex international money laundering cases, and continues to assist the DOJ and Treasury Department with ongoing cases, before outlining in the complaint a vast web of corruption overseen by Smith who allegedly abused the power of his office.

Witnesses who provided sworn affidavits say that Smith ran “an alleged extortion ring set up within the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, a European Union initiative ratified by Kosovo’s parliament in 2016 to prosecute war crimes."

Smith is named as “an active participant in a scheme that extorted millions of dollars from wealthy individuals targeted for investigation and/or prosecution by the Kosovo Specialist Prosecutor's Office (SPO). Smith served as the Specialist Prosecutor from May 7, 2018, to November 18, 2022, at which time he was appointed by U.S. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland to serve as the Special Counsel” to investigate Trump.

Evidence provided to the Inspector General's Office includes recorded interviews and various written communications, including text messages.

Among the key players named in the affidavits accompanying the whistleblower complaint are:

*David Harback, a DOJ prosecutor currently serving on Smith's team investigating Trump. Harbach worked for Smith from 2019 to November 2021.

*Alan Tieger, former U.S. prosecutor and current SPO prosecutor.

*Hillary Clinton, former U.S. Secretary of State and New York Senator.

*David Schwendiman, former U.S. prosecutor who served as Chief Specialist Prosecutor at the SPO between September 2016 and March 2018.

*Faik Imeri, who represented himself as working with Smith and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

*President Hashim Thaci, former Kosovo president indicted for war crimes by the SPO in 2020.

*Charles Mcgonigal, former FBI Special Agent in charge of counterintelligence at the New York field office.

*Florim Alan, currently under indictment in Kosovo for breaking into computer systems.

*Russian Oligarchs Vladimir Potanin and Michail Prochorov
