Oh, of course it will be Trump. My comment was directed at Desantis’ future prospects. If he tries to run in the future he has a stink on him that would be fatal unless the field is the way it has been in recent elections.

And IIRC, originally, he had one stance on the war that was similar or matching Trump’s. Then, one day later, after his handlers gave him the facts of life, he did a 180.

For me, it was that fecklessness that bothered me. How can a person’s core principles be so fragile?

Pretty much the case, but it was 3 days as I remember it. I do think that staying clear of Ukraine was his preference, but his donors/wife/advisers demanded he flip. My thinking was that DeSantis was (unintentionally) giving credibility to Trump’s non-involvement position, and that was the LAST THING they wanted...similar to saying something like “I agree with Trump, we do need a Wall”.
