U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Alabama, was the target of a swatting call that sent the Lee County SWAT team to a family residence on Christmas evening, reports WRBL, a Chattahoochee Valley TV station.
Swatting is a form of harassment that involves a false report of an ongoing emergency or threat of violence intended to prompt an immediate tactical law enforcement response to the targetβs address. The FBI started using the term in 2008.
The scene at the residence owned by Tubervilleβs wife was cleared quickly without any problems, according to the station. Neighbors told WRBL that the street was blocked, and they were unable to leave or enter their homes while the incident took place.
Auburn police confirmed to the station that the incident is still under investigation but declined to comment on any details. A person of interest has not yet been identified.

How many is that in the last week?
Why do those who phone in the false reports never get arrested?
Nor will they be. Swap a leftist, and you can bet they will find the individual (or just make one up).
Start charging the people doing it with attempted murder and watch it stop.
*Swat
Tommy Tuberville?
Dyslexic SWAT team got a call from 867-5309 and the rest is history.
“How many is that in the last week?”

In the past few days, about 6 or 7 I believe. It is obvious this is being done by leftist progressives. I suspect the FBI knows who is doing it and/or is facilitating the terror they are putting these people through. If they can find everyone who was near DC on January 6th and gain access to all their phone calls, texts, and social media posts, they can find who did this.
Does this mean all law enforcement agencies are filled with people born yesterday who naively believe everything they are told?
“There’s a UFO landing in my ex husband’s backyard and if you don’t act fast the population of planet earth is doomed. The aliens are in his house now. Shoot first—you may not get a second chance.”
“SWAT team is on its way.”πππππππππππππ

It was suggested to me today by an unbiased progressive that I am in error is assuming the perps are always leftists.
I requested he find me a news report of a leftist Democrat being swatted. Still waiting.
They can locate some dolt who points a laser at a plane but they canβt catch these guys? Gimme a break.
Jenny changed her number.
Have they caught any of the people who did this?
Unless they are using burner phones, how is it that the callers cannot be identified and tracked down?
Everyone claims to hate “swatting” but no one questions the militarized, Fed-funded, Fed-”anti-terror”-trained Seal Team Six wannabes in local law enforcement.
the FIRST THING I would do as President is end all Federal cooperation and direction/control of local law-enforcement.
Local cops need their independence back, which Obama-Holder took away. The influence of Fed.gov is TOXIC
And anyone who says "well, they can't trace the calls" is full of it.
Yeah, they can.
By using a vpn
Like spurious lawfare allegations——who’s counting?
A bad trend.
VPN calls can be traced. It requires very high-level access to do that, but the barrier is not technology. It is politics.
You might reasonably assume that every VPN provider is beholden to the national government where they base their operations and that they will turn over subscriber information and access logs on receipt of a suitable phone call.
The same thing is true for all the telcos.
All phone calls are logged in multiple systems and retention periods are longer than you would expect. Cell phone calls can sometimes be located to within a city block or so of where they are made. And "Burner" phones get special attention and record retention rules.
If the authorities want to find swatters badly enough, they can. The only real obstacle is if they are in another country. If the faction that sponsored the swatters is currently under government protection, then "our guys" won't get any farther.
Even with a burner phone people should be able to be traced. If these are all untraceable phones then the FBI should be doubly concerned.
