But I pray that my daughter gets to see the reversal and return to the virtues and principles of the Founders, who knew and clearly stated that our Constitutional Republic required that its people be "moral and religious" (in the words of John Adams). 71 here, and God is willing, but while seeking to fulfill "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them" (Ephesians 5:11) and to "earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints," (Jude 3) rather than being focused on saving Babylon, I and the body of Christ in the US needs to have more of the mentality of the 1st century church, which were overall under a civil gov. with many leaders that would make ours look mild.

But the church was focused on being a distinctive holy nation, calling souls to Come out of her [Babylon], my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." (Revelation 18:4-5)

So, looking at the adjacent counties and the distance from the county seat of Rowan County:
The Lewis County Clerk’s office is 37 miles away. The Carter County Clerk’s office is 33 miles away. The Fleming County Clerk’s office is 27 miles away. The Elliott County Clerk’s office is 25 miles away. The Morgan County Clerk’s office is 25 miles away. The Meniffee County Clerk’s office is 25 miles away. The Bath County Clerk’s office is 21 miles away.
The only damages it seems they should have been awarded were the cost of gas, a cab fair, etc. for making the round trip to the next county clerk’s office. That is the only delay she could have caused them. Even assuming the absolute worst about her and her behavior, there were no more damages than having the inconvenience of going to another clerk’s office relatively close by. The claim they suffered $100,000 of damages by not being able to get the license at her particular office with her signature is bizarre. Again, even assuming the absolute worst about her behavior for the sake of argument, it is difficult to fathom how her behavior could have caused them to go through all of this or suffer such enormous “damages.” Did her counsel not bring this up during the hearing with the judge?
