Hmmm,
Let’s see.
Ukraine loses 18% of their landmass, a major industrial area and port city. Russia gains these. The military objective of this war was to prevent Russia from seizing this territory.
Ukraine is not in NATO. The political objective of this war was Ukraine entering NATO and this is what ultimately caused the war.
Ukraine is not in the EU. Something possible before the war.
Ukraine’s economy shrunk by >37%. Not Russia, Ukraine.
Ukraine’s population imploded from 41 to 28 million living there. A world record!
Ukraine’s birthrate dropped.
Ukraine’s debt exploded. Not Russia, Ukraine.
Ukraine is a defunct / bankrupt nation literally depending on billions from the US and EU region (((monthly))) to pay it’s retirements, federal employees and mercenaries.
Ukraine’s counteroffensive was a flop that went no where and there will be no second chance (the West won’t pay for it).
Ukraine’s infrastructure is a mess. Not Russia, Ukraine.
***But Russia can’t win the war?***
When someone fails to achieve their states political (NATO membership) and military (prevent loss of Russian ethnic Ukrainian areas, industrial area and port city) objectives, that’s called FAILURE.
The war is already over.
The West is already cutting its losses and slowly pulling back.
Ukraine is a dead dude still making some gurgling sounds and you’re talking about Russia not winning? Funny. Goes to show, perception is reality.
It’s war. One side partially losing doesn’t mean the other side necessarily wins.
