God sent a man to find one person to be king. He went to this house where a man had 7 sons. One by one was brought in and each one God said no, he is not the one.
Do you have any more? Yes, 1 more out tending the sheep. Bring him in. He came, a young man, hardly 20.., he didn’t look kingly like his brothers. But God said yes.. He’s the one.
God said you judge a man by his looks.. By the outside.. I look at the heart.. Is he willing to do My will.
God said David was a man after My own heart.
David went on to serve God.. He also sinned and repented.
He was not perfect, he took a man’s wife.. Had a man killed.
He repented.. God looked at his heart and forgave him.
Amen. God says our thoughts are not His thoughts; our ways not His ways. But he absolutely works His mighty works in our lives to bring about people ‘for such a time as this’.
