Ukraine will reportedly need to wait up to an additional half year before receiving the F-16 fighter jets promised to the war-torn country from the Kingdom of Denmark, according to the Danish defence ministry.
President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has long lobbied Western powers for American-made F-16 warplanes, will apparently need to wait longer until the first jets are handed over, with the Danish Ministry of Defense announcing on Saturday that the first delivery F-16 jets will be delayed by at least six months.

In Washington DC, anyway...
Just taking tanks for illustration, having ten of this type of tank and twenty of another and fifty of another is an absolute nightmare for logistics. Just to take some numbers, imagine each tank requires one thousand types of parts. (Generally, these would be divided up in items that can be switched out by the crew, called line, as in battle “line”, and depot level parts.) This requires a purchasing crew, a warehouse crew and a distribution crew and all the associated buildings, transport equipment, storage and test equipment. Now multiply that by three, one set for each vehicle type. Now add a level of complexity because they’re all in the field at once and each requires its own “feed” of ammo and special items. What a nightmare. Ukraine should only hire bald men as anyone with hair will tear it out.

Imagine if we waited 6 months to resupply the Soviets during the battle of Stalingrad in WWII?

I hear Queen Margrethe is abdicating over this Danish failure.
All part of the plan… Ukraine must be entirely depleted before Biden can send US troops in to save the day. These jets would be a saving grace to a Ukrainian army already being ground into the dirt. A few more months and Biden can give his “now is the time , Ukraine needs our troops or Russia wins” speech.
You can park a shiny new F-16 on the ramp, but unless the trained and qualified pilots, mechanics, armorers,fuel handlers spare parts, storage, maintenance facilities, etc...are in place, it is worthless for anything other than a monument to the stupidity of NATO.
