Crackdown? You mean like a law, that one would enforce? Dims have tried doing nothing and they’re all out of ideas. (I think I stole that from The Simpsons.) Hochul would approve.
And yet, they’ll probably keep voting for Democrats.

A group of pro-Palestine protesters have shut down the Brooklyn Bridge to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. Other protesters have shut down the Manhattan Bridge and other major transit points in the city
The citizens of New York, through their own majority votes, put in all these Soros-funded DAs and legislators who promised to go easy on the criminals because prosecuting to the full extent of the law is racist.

And, that won’t help either until Marxist’s Leftists are run out of town by whatever means necessary and two things happen for cops. # 1 REFUND # 2 Quit expecting PERFECTION from COPS! They are human too. On close calls regarding split second decisions, COPS must be given the benefit of the doubt or anarchy will continue because no one is going to want to be a cop anymore! We already see that.

Property owners have NO representation, a homeless guy living on the sidewalk gets more votes than a guy who owns 100 commercial buildings in the city, but lives in the suburbs!
Maybe all the thieves will get sternly worded letters.

no possibility of stopping the acceleration of lawlessness in NY unless no-bail laws revoked and police funding and political support are restored ... that won’t happen with Democrats in charge, and NY voters will keep voting for Democrats no matter what ... so NY will continue to sink into chaos, no matter how much Democrats pretend they’ll “do something”, without of course actually doing anything ...

I kind of like the Arabian solution of chopping off 1 hand or foot for each conviction. A bunch of guys with one hand, or no hands, walking around the ghetto would be walking adverstisements on why people should not steal.
She didn’t act before, but now her legally protected illegals are involved and they hit an Iconic Manhattan retailer - Bloomingdales. So, of course the New York governor NOW has to act.
