John Castro, a Texas man who fought to keep former President Trump off the ballot, has been arrested on federal tax charges.
“John Anthony Castro was indicted last week on 33 counts of aiding the preparation of false tax returns,” noted The Hill. “Prosecutors claim he ran a virtual tax preparation business that provided customers with tax returns beyond what they were actually owed, defrauding the government.”
In court documents, prosecutors allege Castro would “promise a significantly higher refund than taxpayers could receive from other preparers and on many occasions, offered to split the additional refund with taxpayers.”

IIRC it didn’t turn out to well for that couple either.
The Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS in Washington DC got him in a sting operation in March 2018. Here it is almost 6 years later and they file the charges.
Do you think the delay was due to him attacking Trump’s candidacy in 14 states with lawsuits? Duh!

I was super bummed out when that series ended. Such great characters and writing.
Wait. Why would someone doing the regime’s bidding be indicted? We’re supposed to believe that they’re suddenly enforcing the law? Far as I’m concerned, the only reason is because like SBF, Castro has done what they needed him to do and this is how they keep him quiet by indicting him after which he’ll get off easy in exchange for what’s he done and his continued silence.
This is a screwup by the deepstate. No kidding. Look for these charges to go away.

There is no statute of limitations on FRAUD.
“Unlike other IRS Statutes of Limitations which typically expire after three years (example: failure to file an informational return) or possibly six years (example: willful failure to pay tax), there is no statute of limitations for Civil Tax Fraud.”
