MID DAY DRUDGE REPORT HEADLINES: JANUARY 11, 2024

Ever since PJ's own managing editor, Paula Bolyard, gave ur-blogger Matt Drudge a virtual black eye, I've made it a point to visit the Drudge Report once or twice a week, just to keep an eye on lefty cray-cray over there. Today was one of those Drudge days and — as happens almost without fail — I found a cringeworthy instance of the site's increasingly laughable lefty bias.
Before I get to that, here's a quick history of the Drudge Report as a news junky's go-to site.
Since the invention of tabbed browsing almost 20 years ago, I must have spent more than a dozen of them with one browser tab permanently devoted to Drudge. Before then, his site was a more-than-daily visit from the time he broke the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky story that Newsweek had tried to bury. Long before the mainstream media had social media giants to help them hide dirty laundry like Hunter Biden's Laptop from Hell or peddle fiction like Donald Trump's Russia collusion, bloggers like Drudge were able to hold the MSM to account.
The job falls to sites like PJ Media now and, as someone who has been with the company since its 2005 launch, I'm fine with that.
I closed Drudge's perma-tab early in 2016. He was pushing Trump so hard, to the detriment of every other story that concerned me, that for the first time since 1998, there was no point in visiting even once a day. Three years later, I read that the Drudge Report had swung so hard and so fast in the other direction that the constant anti-Trump links — usually highlighted in red, often with the famous animated police siren GIF — that I had to see it with my own eyes.

But imagine that: Going from Trump to anti-Trump in nothing flat and pretending that nothing had changed.
Some say Matt sold the Drudge Report to a lefty outfit. Others say he developed a personal grudge. My friend and former boss Roger L. Simon told me once he thinks Drudge might have gotten involved with a progressive woman.
Nobody knows for sure, which is why I've tried in this column to separate Matt Drudge, the man, from the Drudge Report, the proto-blog.
Drudge used to be my ‘go to’ open tab page every morning first thing.
Now it’s just a bookmark among hundreds.
They went lefty for some reason, usually money................
I am over my Drudge addiction. I had it real bad.
Then, one day I just decided to go Cold Turkey.
My ordeal wasn’t nearly as bad as John Lennon’s, as he described it in that song, called Cold Turkey, but it was rough for a couple of weeks. I just had to learn new routines to satisfy my News Hunger.

I recall when Newt Gingrich ran for president in 2012 the Drudge Report went extremely negative on him. I thought it odd and began to question what was going on with Drudge.
Have not been there in years. Will never go back.
I found Free Republic from a Drudge website link during the Monica Lewinsky days.
I discovered Free Republic way back in the late 90s when I was in college through a link at Drudge Report. I lost access here when I could no longer access my student email to reset my password, so I created this account a few years later.
So, even though it went left and I no longer visit there, I’m thankful for the link to this site.
Do you really have no idea of the fact domestic intelligence is zapping people through the walls of their homes with microwave weapons? I have probably got ten people on my website alone who are getting that.
There is literally a study showing a correlation between plane flyovers and heart attacks, the correlation in which I think is being produced by a bunch of planes which go around zapping people the machine does not like, all night long, and do it enough to affect the stats for all aircraft. I myself get hit, and probably will for this comment. I posted a thermal video on my site where I am sleeping, and you can see a sheet of foil I put between me and the beaming house heat up on thermal, and I immediately wake.
If they wanted Drudge’s site, Drudge gets no choice in the matter. Until people get an idea of how bad it is out there, this country is doomed.

I met him at the March for Justice and felt there was something odd about him. He was less of a conservative and more of a businessman. I suspect he sold out. I can see a billionaire like Soros paying to get rid of Drudge. I suspect it happens frequently. The Oligarchs own the media with their dollars
