I see it all the time on Free Republic:

To the Left, the sacrament of abortion means unlimited, with no restrictions. Any restrictions on abortion that the Left “agrees” to, they will simply ignore.
If they convince “conservative” legislators to agree to allow abortions at any stage due to “the mental health of the mother”, then they “counsel” women to state they are experiencing mental distress, and voila, abortions at the point of a viable birth at 9 months is legal and possible.
If they convince “conservative” legislators to agree to allow abortions at any stage due to “the physical health of the mother”, then they “counsel” women to state they are at risk of their physical health in all cases, and voila, abortions at the point of a viable birth at 9 months is legal and possible.
If they convince “conservative” legislators to agree to allow abortions in pregnancies caused by rape, then they classify all sex as potential rape, and voila, abortions at the point of a viable birth at 9 months is legal and possible.
It is what they do. They will even say outright they agree to limit abortions to one day post conception only, except in the mental or physical health of the mother, and then have every potential mother say they are distressed or their health is at stake. And they have plenty of clinicians in an overwhelmingly Leftist healthcare system that will accommodate them in this.
We make the insane, and stupid assumption that if we define our position clearly, and accommodate them on anything having to do with abortion and work together with them, then we can compete with them on abortion issue.
They are not interested in compromise. They are interested in the sacrament of abortion, and it is a one-way-ratchet. And any ground we give up to them in the interest of compromise or working together is rarely, if ever, regained. Look how long it took to reverse Roe v Wade.
As an adult (not as a child or young teenager) I have always viewed abortion as a gray scale.
On one end of that gray scale spectrum is an ovum, fertilized and split once. At the other end of that gray scale spectrum is a human being who will be transiting the birth canal in seconds, but is still in the womb.
For a long time I looked at that spectrum and thought I could compromise with Leftists on this. How could I get upset at destroying an ovum that has split once, even though regarding the abortion at the other end seconds before the human being is born as the murder of a sentient human being?
I realized over time, if you bargain with Leftists on that gray scale of abortion, they will outright lie and “negotiate” in bad faith. I realized over time that is politically a losing endeavor.
Because you cannot out-Left a Leftist. They are the genuine evil article, and compromise with them is a one way ratchet to force you to eventually be at the same place they are at (because they aren’t interested in compromise) and I won’t do it.
I will not compromise on murder in order to obtain political advantage. Others may do so, but I will not.
Read the words - she didn’t praise Kamala’s stance on abortion - she laid out how the Repubs mishandle getting their views out.
Of-course it is misleading, as that is sadly often the case in media, esp. conservative sites looking for hits, and in a day where most Internet use of via smartphones.
How man scroll to the 4th paragraph and read: “I disagreed with almost everything she said in this interview, but I will say it was one of her better interviews.
“If you watched some of the others, maybe you’d know.”
You should have abandoned Fox regardless of how bad the others are. Some people, like me, stick to their boycotts, i.e., Ruger, GM, Gillete, Fox, Annheiser Busch, Target, etc. That said, I’m abandoning you. Kidding, FRiend.
