Ron DeSantis ended his campaign to become the GOP's presidential candidate by using a fake statement attributed to British wartime leader Winston Churchill.
The Florida Governor signed off his campaign with the quote: 'Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts,' underneath the video where he announced he was removing himself from the running.
But the motivational words, which he attributed to Churchill, where never actually used by the statesman and former UK Prime Minister, according to history experts.

It’s a good saying wherever it comes from. I’ve been mistaken about quotes before. It’s hardly a mortal sin, unless you knowingly attribute the source falsely.
And desantis shows the following still holds....
1 desantis and many of his supporters lie about any and everything...

More accurate: At this time, nobody has come forth with evidence that Winston Churchill wrote the sentence.
Meanwhile, in general, the sentence as a quote of Winston Churchill, remains as encouragement to forge ahead.
What is the source of the Churchill quote?
Book title, page number, paragraph number?
Or
Speech name, page number, paragraph number?
Year, month, publication or (geographic)location of speech?
Oral arguments are scheduled for February 8th in that case.

The easily offended will usually make choices based on their feelings/how it effects them(selfish choice in other words) instead of unemotionally dealing in facts and doing what’s best/right to solve problem or at least help it.

I read a Churchill quote on Twitter once that was an excellent quote. Per my usual practice, before repeating it, I checked it out and couldn’t find any proof of its legitimacy.
While researching, I tripped across an organization called The Churchill Center. I sent an email to ask them. Winston Churchill’s Great Grandson himself replied to tell me that it wasn’t a real quote.
At least Desantis is giving credit for his quotes, even if they are not due.
