I remember when the In-N-Out in San Ramon first opened. The lines were so long that they had to build a dedicated turn lane on San Ramon Valley Blvd just to offload the line of cars from the main road.

LOL - the same thing happened when an In n Out opened in Stafford, TX (southwest Houston suburb) a few years ago. People were waiting in line for up to four hours and this went on all day for at least a month.

Fortunately, this was after I’d spent my year working in the Bay Area and had already had plenty of “animal style” double-doubles, so I didn’t have to join that chaos.

In-N-Out noted in their statement that the Oakland location is busy and profitable (which, having eaten there, I believe), but In-N-Out is only calling it quits because they refuse to continue to subject their employees and customers to an unsafe environment.

In-N-Out is a highly ethical Christian company. I salute them for valuing people the way they do.

Essentially, if Oakland can’t get its act together with respet to crime, they don’t deserve an In-N-Out.

It is still busy with their own lane. My son visited our old town of Danville a few weeks ago. Still the teen hangout.

Miss CA. TX is sane but ugly and flat. I guess I chose America over Marxism but some days I miss my old life.
