So Biden would have to send federal troops to guard the border from Texas guardsmen?
Could Biden effectively federalize the Texas Guard?

According the State Guard’s webpage, no. Someone responded on the earlier thread that it is a murky area. The question is, would they obey? Would the National Guard from Texas,

I think Abbott would have to sign off on it.

No. It’s up to the governor.

Trump needed to call up the National Guard during the insurrection riots of 2020.

But idiot lib governors wouldn’t sign off on it.

So the cities burned.

I would think that would be an “UNLAWFUL ORDER” when he’s asking them to act against the REPUBLIC OF TEXAS, which is a legal state of the United States when that State (TEXAS) has repeatedly asked for Federal Assistance in controlling ILLEGAL ENTRY into the United States and has been REPEATEDLY REFUSED BY FEDERAL AUTHORITIES!

If a Texas Guard member was also a National Guard member, but I doubt there is such a case.

Could Biden effectively federalize the Texas Guard?>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Gubernatorial assent is required.

Secondly, in the case of Texas, it does not have a “national guard.” It has something called the Texas Militia. It is a sovereign force, not automatically at the service of the federal government.
