Atlanta DA Fani Willis cites ‘confidentiality, won’t give records on Trump case
NYPost ^ | 1/26/24 | Steven Nelson

WASHINGTON — The Georgia district attorney accused of having an affair with an attorney she hired to prosecute former President Donald Trump responded to Congress on behalf of her alleged lover Friday — saying “confidentiality interests” mean she can’t hand over any documents related to the case.

Fulton County DA Fani Willis, who is facing calls even from allies to step off the Trump case due to the allegations of improper self-dealing, fired off the defiant response after House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) reached out to her alleged paramour Nathan Wade.

“Dear Mr. Jordan: I am writing to you regarding your January 12, 2024, letter to Attorney Nathan Wade, who is retained by this office as a Special Assistant District Attorney,” Willis wrote to Jordan, who had demanded records from Wade of payments to him from Willis’ office, in addition to any records concerning contacts with the Biden administration.

“Your letter requested records of the Fulton County District Attorney’s office, so Mr. Wade forwarded your letter to me as District Attorney for response,” Willis wrote.

“Your letter is simply a restatement of demands that you have made in past correspondence for access to evidence in a pending Georgia criminal prosecution.

“As I said previously, your requests implicate significant, well-recognized confidentiality interests related to an ongoing criminal matter. Your requests violate principles of separation of powers and federalism, as well as respect for the legal protections provided to attorney work product in ongoing litigation. I refer you to my previous responses to your inquiry for more detailed analysis.”

Fani Willis is violating the First Law of Holes. When you find yourself in one, the first thing you do is stop digging.

Fani Willis needs to be thrown into jail for contempt of Congress.

Just like what happened to Peter Navarro.

Fani Willis is violating the First Law of Holes. >>>>>>>>>>>>

And the Second Law of holes is to only let your husband fill it.( Fani is married, 52 yoa, with two daughters and a hubby she never says anything about).

She is in clear violation of both the First and Second Laws of Holes.

Just saw this:

“Just In: Articles of Impeachment will be filed against Fani Willis by state lawmaker Charlice Byrd. Byrd alleges that Willis has used her office for political gains rather than pursuit of justice.

The articles of impeachment state that Willis also violated the first amendment right of Republicans for questioning the election, meanwhile democrats do the same. “

Case dismissed with prejudice.

What exposes Willis’ true motives-—which she didnt share with church members-—is that Willis hired a PR type firm for $10,000 to monitor her media coverage just days before announcing the probe into former President Donald Trump (according to invoices and emails obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation).

<><>Willis announced in a letter sent to four state officials, including Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, on Feb. 11, 2021 that she had opened a criminal probe into Trump over his alleged attempts to influence the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. This move also might earn her tangible rewards since it endeared her to Joe Biden.

<><>However, just days earlier, her office contracted with Critical Mention, a New York-based media monitoring service designed for tracking mentions and metrics such as the publicity value that would showcase her burgeoning political potential to a person like Joe Biden.

Atlanta-based criminal defense attorney and legal analyst Philip Holloway told the DCNF that prosecutors are required “to be objective and to wield their great power without bias and certainly not to use the criminal justice system as a ladder to political success.”

The documents show Willis’ deep interest in tracking media coverage of herself, and her office, as she launched an investigation into the former president, knowing full well, that in charging Trump, she had struck political gold.

The first invoice charging $10,000 for the annual contract is dated Feb. 8, 2021. Emails show DA Willis was in discussion with the company as early as Feb. 1.

“We are getting more coverage via your name than by title,” said what appears to be a Fulton County employee in a Feb. 2021 email, referencing Willis. “This graph has the coverage value for the last week at over $150 million.”

“I ran a report for mentions of ‘Fulton County District Attorney’ worldwide for the last seven days. Critical Mention (the PR monitoring platform I told you guys about that we contract for last week) gives a ‘publicity value’ to the coverage, which is meant to reflect what it would cost to buy paid advertising equivalent to the penetration of the media coverage,” the email continues.

“While it can be a bit exaggerated, it says in the last week we’ve gotten media coverage equivalent to $67 million in advertising. Even half of that value would be staggering.”

Critical Mention’s website pitches its service to “PR, Communications and marketing agencies” who use the platform to “to help clients track earned media coverage in real-time, analyze campaigns and grow their brands......

.......and, in Willis’ case, as a way to advance and gauge her political bona fides to Joe Biden.........

The lil skank colluded with the Biden regime, otherwise she would NEVER have brought charges against him..It will be funny as hell when Willis is the one that ends up in prison and NOT Trump

Georgia Representative Charlice Byrd (R-Woodstock—from Cherokee County) plans
to introduce H.R. 872, seeking to impeach Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Byrd is alleging she misused her office for political gains
rather than for the pursuit of justice as the office was intended.

Byrd is particularly critical of Willis for indicting Republicans for simply
exercising their First Amendment rights to question election results.

Questioning election results is a practice Democrats have frequently engaged in after losing significant races including those of Democrats Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, and the infamous Stacey Abrams race.

None of the Democrat candidates and none of their Democrat supporters who questioned election results were ever legally cited nor were they charged w/ any crimes related to questioning election results.

Jordan asked for billing records from a public office that billed the federal government.

Where is the confidentiality here?

You can't claim confidentiality to cover up a crime committed by a public official.

Unfortunately, Jim Jordan makes a lot of demands and time goes by and people retire and witnesses die.
